Can I use a Master Seal at camp or do I have to use it in battle. Also, any pointers on when and how to use the master seal.

I generally wait for my guys to automatically promote at level 21, and sell the Master Seals.

better used in battle than anywhere else, basically it will make your chapter easier due that you will have 2nd tiers in battle alreday with all the advantages.

I'm honestly not sure, I've never used one before. You can probably use them between chapters. At least, you can do so in the other games. See if there's a "use" option on people.

Yeah, you can use them at base camp.

Master seals should either be sold (as Ranger 1 suggested) or at Level 20 (which will save you having to earn another 100 EXP). The problem with promoting early is that in exchange for an immediate boost you lose several levels worth of stat up gains later.

Some units might benefit from an early promotion, such as promoting a mage so they can use healing staves, or Rhys or Mist so they get the option of attacking, but generally these instances are better off with pumping bonus EXP into them instead.

well you usually should BEXP a half level or 2 whole levels, its recomended due that makes your characters stats a lot better in RF thats how i got a near max nephnee (59 HP all other stats alreday maxed) or a near god zihark, edward and nolan, also i got near god astrid in this game, near god nephnee god ike, god marcia,and a bunch of others

But I don't even have anyone to their next class yet and I'm at Chapter 11. Oscar is the closest at 18.

That's not unusual. First time I played I didn't have anyone promoted until Ch12, and that's on easy mode.

If you're playing on normal or hard then you may not see promotions happen until Ch16-17.

an other slip of my keyboard, i meant RD (radiant dawn) most of my units are always leveled with a touch of BEXP to they have a higher chance to cap all stats, as i said most of my POR characters ended demi gods like that nearly unbeatable, now im playing RD again, and im about to beat it, most of my units are nwo capable of decently using the imbue scroll
