Hey there! I'm Kilik 64. I'm making a fan-game for Fire Emblem. Now, I know what kinda things you generally think when people say stuff like this. Now, I can't tell what to say about me, but I ask that you give me a chance before you make your judgement. I've been working very hard on this for a long time, and I have no intentions of stopping anytime soon. I hope this project is a success, and if you're willing to help out, then here's your chance. Provided that you are accepted, then I'll eargerly accept your help. Here the jobs you may apply for, what they are, and what your submission must include.
Story Writer (4- 3 left) ----------------- Job: They write the story, chapter scripts, supports, and stuff of that sort. Everything that happens in the game will be determined by this team. To Apply: You will need to write your own beginning to a Fire Emblem game. No, I'm not expecting the entire story. But a solid beginning, something to get people interested, and full of CREATIVITY. That will be the biggest thing. Maybe a 1/2 page story in Word at the most. 10 Arial font or 12 point Times New roman. Proper punctuation in sentences, but no double spacing, no indenting, and it all be one huge paragraph. Please put thought into this, and grammar and spelling will be counting. Can't have story writers who can't spell, no can we? Graphics(4 spriter- 1 left,4 mug artists- 2 left) --------- Job: These are the people that make the graphics. Not only the sprites, but mugs (profile and overworld) as well. Characters are done by them. To Apply: This may sound tough, but I have to be tough in order the best comes out. You must do a COMPLETE recolored sprite sheet, a profile (the big one) mug and overworld (the little one) mug. Complete sheet means reg attack, critical, and dodge for each weapon. Distance axes, sowrds, and lances are optional. I don't expect people to be good at all of them, but if you are multitalented, this DRASTICALLY improves you acceptance chances. I simply want to see how good you are at each aspect. this helps me keep track of what we need spriters for which parts. Things that improve your chances are: being skilled in multiple deaprtments, originality, and effort. Area Developer(4- 3 left) --------------------- Job: These wonderful people get to make all of the maps we see. So, if you find a ridiculous choke point you can't past, hate mail needs to be directed to them. To Apply: A demo map will be made. Betweem 8x8 and 15x15, but 10x10 is fine with me. I want to see if you can make one realistically. So placement is most important here. Like maybe a small town or something. I won't be specific on what the map contains. Just do your best. Being able to accept hate mail for making ridiculously hard maps is also a helpful trait. Artist (Unlimited) -------- Job: You get to draw all the wonderful artwork of characters. To Apply: This is one of the stations I'll be linient in. Simply draw a Sacred Stones or Path of Radiance character that does NOT already have offical artwork. Music Composer (Unlimited) ------------------------ Job: Music! you get to do the MIDIs for this game. To Apply: Another occupation I will be linient with. Remix or make your own MIDI song from FE7 or 8, an send in. If you make a remix, send the original as well and label both. If you make your own, then you rock. Programmer(Unlimited) --------------- Job: The programming that will round this out. This game will be made using Game Maker, so you'll need know you're doing with that. To Apply: Experience with this program is all you need to apply. Showing work from previous experience or attempts at game making is highly reccommended. P.S. If you notice some big category as part of making this game I left out, let me know here, and I'll add it. I am an ex-member in the production of this game and I'd like to reassure everyone that this project, when I left, was making great progress. I would of stayed if it hadn't been for my real life. anyways, I just decided to post here to wish Kilik good luck and give him the most support I can from outside of the team

i will, and now that i'll be using Game Maker as opposed to C++ prgramming with a GBA engine, I have set a projected release date of Q4 2007. However, this game will absolutely be done by December 31, 2008 11:59 PM.

awesome I want to play it. If the writers cant think of a plot twist, let me know, I am the master. I just don't want the full time job.
