Everyone seems to tell me that the Final Fight series is better than SoR, I dont think so Having played all the games in both series, I think SoR always comes out on top. What do you think people.

I have played both games and SOR rocks the most, sure, Final Fight is a ok game also but SOR has more deepth, more action and a better storyline.

I agree, I defintately like The Streets of Rage series better. Its just funner to play!

To be fair, Final Fight was a good game, but the Streets of Rage series was in a league of its own. About time for an update I think....

Don't get me wrong, Final Fight was a good game but it was kinda easy and the storyline was kinda boring.

if you think it's so easy try playing final fight cd on the mega-cd i still can't even complete that game on easy whereas i can complete streets of rage 2 on hardest without losing a life

Final Fight is easy, I've even maxed out my amount of villains killed now (9999 lol)

Final fight got an update, and it was average at best (FF:Streetwise on the PS2).


Streets of Rage owned Final Fight in every way. I think it came out first as well. Final Fight's graphics were crap. The colors were all offtint (they took the whole villain color pallete and shifted all colors one way to create an alternate colored villain, and it looked BAD), and the camera was too zoomed in on enemies. Not only that, but the environs sucked. Plus, FF' borrowed too many special moves from streetfighter.

Meanwhile, SoR just got better. I believe the music was done by Yuzo Koshiro. That guy rawks.

If they do make another one, i'd like to see one big ass open city, like San Andreas, and you'd have to punch and kick your way towards your goal, just like oldschool. Bring back Axle, Blaze, Skate, and Adam. (Max was just a gimmick character to me, as was Zan), maybe bring back the Boss and his Syndicate again. Good times.

FF streetwise f@$kin suck cuz of the graphics it got a 2 out of 5.

Overall in terms of the series SoR floggs Final Fight with a large stick.

Streets of Rage is more worthy of remaking in my opinion.... well except SoR3 ironically, because in my opinion that game sucked compared to the other two, even the untouched Japanese original did.

They overcomplicated the game and the music became headache enducing....plus they got rid of my favorite character Max

What does difficult matter? Games like Devil May Cry are as hard as iron bollocks, and yet they have some of the gaming world's biggest fan followings.

They need to revitalize this series.

The dreamcast was set for a Streets of Rage game back in the day. You can find beta footage on youtube. God it looked bad, i'm so glad they never went there. By that time, Sega was rendered incapable and hapless. Sony needs to get their mits on this.
