Parents + Games = OMFG |

Yeah we've all heard about it, how parents and games dont mix. Here's my story that will certainly stab at your heart as it did mine.
After 10 hours of Jak3 over the course of two days, i finally made it to the level where you have to ride around on the hoverboard and go through each of the blue rings, so that you can climb up the tower in the middle of the lake. I've hated this part forever because it is so annoying. So i finally made it through the tests, FINALLY after much frustration. My dad came down and asked what i was playing. He seemed interested because it had guns lol, but wouldnt ask if he could play because of his pride i guess? So i went upstairs to eat, and while i was up there, my dad was downstairs. finally he came up and after a while i went back down. Only to find that Jak was now standing in the arena with only his first weapon... i thought wtf? and checked my progress. My jaw dropped -literally! My ten hours of gameplay had turned into 3 minutes... Okay so here's your chance to add what ur parents have done before, after or during your gameplay. In the meantime im gonna go put a pillow over my dads head lol. ------------------- ![]()

Damn that must have been frustrating, I can't recall any major problems with my parents (though I'm sure there's been a few) but one vivid incident I recall happened with my little brother. On my first playthrough on FFX I was about half way through the story, and just getting to the exciting bit (just after you go to Bevelle) when my brother took a interest in the game. He started his own file and while I was watching saved directly over my save file, simply because it was the first slot the cursor came over, it was an easy mistake. I did it too a friend's file once (though he was only a few hours in and barely ever touched the game again) but it pissed me off to no end at the time, over 30 hours of gameplay lost just like that.

I used to go to an daycare service thing when I was younger and I was playing my GBASP(Pokemon) And I was like on the last guy in the elite four and i saved it and asked to put it in the office so no one gets ahold of it. like 2 hours later I came back and this BRAT called Liam Was playing it and I said who said you can play with my console and the woman who works there said That she said "I said it was okay" Which she had no right. Then when I played it my save file had 0 gym badges 1 pkmn and all that I was like grr you little bastard

I've never had problems with my parents, but my nephew did delete my 106% completed Crash Bandicoot 2 save file when I was younger

I know one time I was trying to pass the final boss (both parts) and every time I failed I would get really mad and say,"This mission sucks!!" And every time I said that, my mom would say the same thing over and over again,"If you really can't pass it, then just turn it off." That get so annoying, especially when I really need to pass that mission or any mission. (sigh) And it doesn't apply for just this game.

Wow, your dad must have not been very smart to overwrite your game like that. That must of sucked.
Anyways, that mission where you need to use the jetboard to go through the rings is literally one of the easiest missions in the game. I beat it so easily. ------------------- ![]()

I was playing Ratchet and Clank 1, my first playthrough. I was in my basement and after abnout 10 trips of frustration through Veldin(end of game), I finally get to one of the very last areas before you fight Drek, just in time for my dad to walk downstairs, go straight over to the PS2 and shut it off, and turn around to ask me "Oh, were you playing that?"

Whenever I'm playing a game, and I get frustrated and just moan or something, my ,parents always either just moan back to mock me, or yell, "IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT TURN IT OFF!!!!"
Man, if I had a secluded room where I could just play my games, my days would be a lot better. ------------------- A wise man once said, "I'm a riot? Your a *bleep*ing riot!" that, was Dane cook!
