re: Suggested Listenings [III]

Okay, so I have been listening to Opeth lately, and I really dig the Derath Metal/Acoustic with the clean and growling vocals, can anyone recommend bands that do similar? Preferably not anti-Christian though.

i would suggest cannibal corpse for death metal. theyre certainly not the best in the genre, but theyre a good start and example of what death metal would normally sound like. i dont think theyre anti-Christian either, just a little gross and morbid

if youre into grind music, defintely try the locust or something.

The Berzerker are another death metal / grindcore band whom are not anti-christian (though they, like Cannibal Corpse) are a bit morbid.

And they're Australian! Gotta love that.

Neither of those DM bands mix in acoustic passages with death metal though.

re: Suggested Listenings [III]

Anyone know any not very well known (cos I've tried all the well known ones) bands who have very technical instrumental parts in their music? Not all of it but like singing, instrumental, singing etc. Like Dream Theater's Fatal Tragedy please.
