once the rapping kicked in I was put off. I'm a fan of some hip-hop but yeah, not my kind of thing as I felt the lyrics were too blah and boring.
that opening section is incredible, then when the riff kicks in... holy shiiiit~ I love these guys so much

I'm a fan of Candlemass so it wasn't exactly a forced listening as such. It was a decent track, The riff that kicked in after the opening reminded me of an Iron Maiden riff with the galloping. I'd have to listen to it again to give a full evaluation on it.
Anyway, an epic track by Absu for someone to enjoy / despise

Perfect song, from a perfect album. One of the best albums of this decade.

Pretty cool song overall. I liked the pacing and the overall sound of the composition. I thought the keys were kind of weak in the main riff and sounded better in between. The parts where they used more of a piano sound, though, sounded much better, like around 4:45 or the outro. Could have been better, but overall I dug the atmosphere.

That was pretty darn good shao dar, too bad the youtube quality was so shitty. The male and female vocals were an unexpected surprise and also *bleep* I loved the intro and the outro mmmmm mmmmmm MMMMMMM. I'd probably check out the album if only to hear the song in higher quality haha.

I forgot how haunting Brian's vocals were on this track. It's a great cover, definitely one of the band's finer moments. Thanks for the reminder LPF, I may have to dig out my teenage collection of Placebo albums this afternoon.

I like the melody and the music but there is just something about her voice that grates at me tbh, I think I'd love a cover of that song haha. Oh wait I really like it at about 1minute in, hmm, probably too quick to judge her. I've no doubt that I'll end up falling in love with this song and band tbh, sounds like a grower. Like the break about 2 minutes in as well.
Anywho I just got linked this song and quite liked it, also enjoyed the video, enjoy ------------------- Ron says: I just drink to a point where everything makes me laugh Ron says: once something stops being funny, I drink more

Irish_Gamer: That was a nice relaxing song. The melody was very calming, and the vocals were superb - sounded almost like a hybrid of Kurt Cobain and Jose Gonzalez, as strange as that comparison sounds. Only thing that let it down for me - and lets down most of these types of songs in my opinion - was the fact that it never went anywhere. The song just stayed the same throughout, so once the initial appeal wore off, there wasn't much to keep me interested. But it was still pretty good.

Taker - Man, I was a huge fan of Wolfmother when their debut album came out a few years back, but I find that on this latest album Stockdale's vocals just completely get on my nerves. It's not so bad when he isn't singing in falsetto (unless that's just a different band member), but I can't stand it during those high-pitched parts of the song, gives me shivers. And not in the good way. Not the biggest fan of this slow-tempo sound of theirs either, but I can live with it.

@ VulcanRaven: Hmmm.. It's Ugly Casanova. I found the music to be repetitive and boring and the lyrics to be catchy at first; but just like the music, became quickly grating. There was no variation the entire song and the little guitar part wasn't interesting to begin with.
Just didn't like it at all. :/ ------------------- ![]()

Phil - You know me, it is knot my kind of song, but that video was sick. I also zoned back in when I heard words "cum on the piano", actually from last night I don't mind the song as much. I like the build up, and violins peering through every once in a while. But yeh song is a bit samey.
Red Steel - That shouty intro had the cheesiness factor cranked up to 11 for sure, I sure as hell cringed there at the memories of Fred Durst doing that in every video. Song picks up and manages to save face with the main guitar riff, but I still can't take those shout along karaoke lyrics seriously. K I'm up to 2:25 and waiting for a breakdown... here it comes, same lyrics... wow no breakdown, same shit tho. Wait are they gonna repeat the first half of the song after such build up, for another 30 *bleep*ing seconds!? I think the best part of the song is probably those 15 seconds around 2 minutes where he tries some cleans, gives it some character. This is an unbelievably dull hardcore song, there is absolutely no energy, tempo is slow, very repetitive, and those lyrics are atrocious. Couldn't find any Rise and Fall tracks on youtube, therefore here is some new Converge. ------------------- ![]()

@Icedevil: My friend linked me to the new Converge album a few weeks ago saying that it was really good. I didn't download it though since I didn't really like the older Converge stuff. That song was alright I guess, it seems to be more refined than what I heard of ex-Converge and the main riff was somewhat catchy. Overall, I wasn't too sold on it but it was memorable/interesting, pleasant to the ear.
+1 to VulcanRaven & wobble for posting those songs. ------------------- I <3 LIVERPOOL

That was certainly a depart from what I would normally be listening too, but it was plesent enough although a little boring to be truthful, especially at 8 mins long. I think I might of enjoyed the saxomaphone alot more with some better back ground music.
