I just see a lot of elitism going on regarding older rock and metal, which apparently you only listen to if you're 14, have just discovered music outside the mainstream and are trying to look hardcore.
 Some people just appreciate that style of music, both from the 'classic' bands who play it and from new bands who continue with that sound, for musical reasons. Yet this forum has recently turned into Pitchfork and NME, as though it's become a low-brow form of music all of a sudden. -------------------  EXCLUSIVELY on Playstation 3! | |

lol I couldn't care less whether Megadeth get forum header or not. Heck, it's probably better they don't - if they do, all the discussion will consist of is forum elitists hijacking the thread and posting sarcastic comments anyway.

I don't see how the forum is flooding with indie bands. It may have an upbringing of some with different members posting but if you are sick of seeing so many then participate in threads that cater more to your liking. Who knows, maybe if you post it X thread, other members will follow and also post in X thread.
Although, looks like we got the obligatory 2/3 month elitism forum thread out of the way. | |
