But, but my music is so cool that if other bros like something else I have to insult them.

lol I couldn't care less whether Megadeth get forum header or not. Heck, it's probably better they don't - if they do, all the discussion will consist of is forum elitists hijacking the thread and posting sarcastic comments anyway.
Maybe so, but ignorance would be bliss with some of the members here *cough* wobble *cough* calling Megadeth a 80's hard rock washed up thrash metal band or whatever. When yet there latest work blows almost every other metal band out of the water IMO, mainstream or not.

Remember you elitists, you don't have to be 14 and "hardcore" to like classic metal, contrary to popular belief.

Can't we all just gets alongs.

Metal and Classical music - Same thing, take out distorion, change vocals with string quartet, metal is classical!

Jazz and Country - Umm.. I'm sure there are some similarities..

Reggae and Blues - Both relate to mood.

Rap and Rock - Mainstream, loved by millions, catchy lyrics.

Metal and Jazz - Technically difficult and a challange for musicians.

Blues and Rock - So closely related it's not funny

Metal and Rock - See Blues and Rock.

See! We can all be friends!

Well they all link in with eachother (heavy bass line to dance too)

That links them to Metal or Rap (take your pick, both have good heavy bass lines).

re: Musical Elitism And Why It Still Rules The Forum

People complaining about elitism sound pretty pathetic when there's a pretty diverse list of artists on the first page alone.

Why does everyone seem to think that emphasizing the fact that they're stating their opinion exempts their opinion from scrutiny?

A music forum where everyone just states their opinion and agrees is boring.

re: Musical Elitism And Why It Still Rules The Forum

No, it's because some people in this forum seem to be unable to accept someone's opinions. And don't try to deny it.

Edit @ aphex - Of course it's boring, but putting down people or stereotyping people is just childish.
