No, it's because some people in this forum seem to be unable to accept someone's opinions. And don't try to deny it.
No shit? Really?

People can disagree with one another?

Yes people can disagree, but if you read my full post. You will see that I've stated that many times before people have been put down and stereotyped because of there music.

Vice versa wobble, vice versa.

And do you think we'll ever be able to fully get rid of that?

No, but it seems some people just do it on purpose just to look cool or more knowledgeable about music.

So basically, your point was to draw our attention to a problem that we already know about yet cannot fix?

I wasn't really trying to make a "point", just more of a rant if anything.

If you feel bullied ShinobiDyne just bully someone younger and weaker then you, that usually works for me.

If you'll notice, all my posts regarding Shinobi were simply questions. Which he answered gracefully. Thank you Shinobi.

Shutup wobble, what do you know? I found your facebook photos album btw.

(wow it really does work ._.)

I'm going to let this thread carry on for a little while longer. I'm all for people airing their opinions and shit as long as it's done in a reasoned, rational way. Even if I don't exactly agree with the extent to which some have ascribed this a problem, I'm willing to hear out any suggestions of practical changes that me or Phil could make to iron these issues out.

Guys I found the best way to eliminate music elitism.

Unfortunately nobody here has a good enough taste in music for me to want to share it with you guys. Uncultured swine!

Top Tip: Next time you should shield your argument with IMO, so you can later bitch about that fact and cry in the corner when people personally attack you.

To Shao Dar:

Metal and Classical are related, why do you think there is a genre of metal (God I hate putting things into genres) called neo CLASSICAL.

Rap and Rock ARE both mainstream and some do have catchy lyrics and are loved by millions.

Metal and Jazz are technically difficult. If you played guitar and actually studied both genres, you would find this out.

To everyone else:

Hi
