Metal and Jazz are technically difficult. If you played guitar and actually studied both genres, you would find this out.
jazz is far more difficult

quote Creation23
Metal and Classical are related
No

Neoclassicism is drawing the influences from classical music, it doesn't make it the same musical genre.

quote Creation23
Rap and Rock ARE both mainstream and some do have catchy lyrics and are loved by millions.
Having choruses and catchy lyrics is not the same *bleep*ing genre.

quote Creation23
Metal and Jazz are technically difficult.
DOESN'T MAKE THEM THE SAME GENRE! I find it technically difficult to operate a crane lift 100 meters up in the sky, it doesn't make me a jazz musician.

quote Creation23
Metal and Classical are related, why do you think there is a genre of metal (God I hate putting things into genres) called neo CLASSICAL.
Neoclassical is not metal. And there's a subgenre of metal known as black metal, but that does not mean it takes influence from black people. In fact I recall most corpse paint being white.

quote Creation23
Rap and Rock ARE both mainstream and some do have catchy lyrics and are loved by millions.
Just about any general genre can have mainstream counterparts, have catchy lyrics and be loved by millions.

quote Creation23
Metal and Jazz are technically difficult. If you played guitar and actually studied both genres, you would find this out.
Maybe if you only listen to Atheist and Cynic (which there is nothing inherently wrong with).

Icedevil said it all better, anyways.

lol good 1 m8.

Also, not all jazz is technically difficult. A lot of swing is easy-as.

Top Tip: Next time you should shield your argument with IMO, so you can later bitch about that fact and cry in the corner when people personally attack you.
I saw none of that going on.

re: Musical Elitism And Why It Still Rules The Forum

One of the reasons I don't post here as often as I used to was because 1) everyone (including myself from time to time) was trying to hide behind the "it's just my opinion" crap. And the people who weren't doing that were being assholes. So, Taker is right and Forte is right.

Who does everyone care?

If you can't win them, join them.

Elitism is everywhere in the forum, and metal is better than all other genres.
