whiskeast, in my mind, there is no problem when that happens. just go on another adventure. u will eventually get the same seed and the same fruit again. i think after about 24 hours the stuff in chao adventure 2 (thank god not ur chao) will disappear.

the reason i know its not ur chao is b/c my friend had his best chao in his vmu and he was in the bathroom. and he dropped it into a wet sink. it seemed that his vmu had fried but, about a month later, we got new batteries and just tried it. it worked! he placed his chao safely back into his garden with a happy grin on his face.

another theory developed from this. his chao was never fed during that whole month in the vmu. when the chao came out, tucker (my friend) had to give that chao about five trees worth of fruit to make it happy. but he's really really happy that he got his chao back.

I dont know if someone already found this out because i cant be bothered to read through this whole thread but i found out what the color of the halo's and stuff means. It is about which drives and animals you have fed it - purple drives making purple balls etc. It may be wrong but it fits for all my chao, my green (soon to be sonic) chao which i fed all green drives has a green ball, and my only chao with a purple halo is my best flyer.

heres something i found out...if a chao strts following you around skipping, let it stand next to you with loving adoration untill it gets tired of that, heres the secret: the chao will then start to do a happy chao dance making some fun noises and moves. i dont know why they do this...

i think the reason he follows u like that is because he likes u a lot. if he doesnt like that character then it wont skip around following the character. if it completely despises the character the chao will make a bbbbbbbaaaaaaaaaaaaa ing noise (hey cool that was enough to bring up my total posts!!!)

You can't have all of the knowledge if you don't know how to get the egg chao. It's an involved process. First, you have to get two chaos with eggshells to mate, then before it hatches go and get a skeletal dog. As soon as it hatches give it the dog, then its own shell for a hat. After that, raise it normally, and it should be an egg chao when it evolves.

MoonDragon: Lemme test that before adding it to my F.A.Q. If it works, then it's a big help, but right now it sounds like a false rumor.

what do you mean you already have 24 chao? is that the max chao you can have or what?

MoonDragon: You can only have 8 chao per garden, and if you have anymore, then 1 or more chao(s) leave because it's too crowded.

MoonDragon: They're glitched chao that have invisible parts and change color as they walk. To get them I used the chao editor, but then stopped using it after.

Anyone know how to get a Jewel Chao? I can't find a free ISP to get the DC online to go get one from the Black Market. Any help would be appreciated!

MoonDragon: You must mate SA1 special chao to get Jewel Chao. They are not sold on the BM, but special chao from SA1 are.

Yodda: I'm having a problem. I'm raising a baby chao to be strong. It was reincarnated from a sonic chao that won all of the final races and has the dark medal on. I'm trying to keep it neutral, so I'm giving it red drives from Tails and red animals from Shadow. The problem is that it's not staying blue. When I raise it with tails it gets whiter really fast, and gets darker really fast when I raise it with Shadow, not turning blue. The three horn-like objetcs come close together and separate very fast, rather than the more gradual change that I'm used to. Does anyone know what's going on? Could it be a colored chao or something? I'm confused.

Dr Chao: You can get another sonic chao after rebirth. I raised my chao saffire back to it after he died in that form on his last life. I think you'll just have to balance out your animal and chaos drive usage...ex. use 4 for each person, like 4/Tails, and then 4/Shadow. I found that using large doses of chaos drives from either side doesn't help in raising a neutral chao, smaller amounts help because its not that big of a change in the chao. I would say to experiment w/ different amounts of chaos drives, until the chao stays neutral.

Yodda: No, I don't want the Sonic one back. I just stated that it was a Sonic chao because it was neutral and won all of the races, to see if that might've affected anything. I'm trying to get a neutral/power/flying Chao. It hasn't evolved yet. It has the look of a soon-to-be neutral/power chao(3 spaced out spikes growing on the head), but it's not blue, it's kind of gray, sort of like Chacron but not exactly. As I said before, I can get it really light, and I can get it really dark, but not blue. As I gave it more animals and drives(evenly between light and dark) it began to look faded. I know that it's not my screen, because I has a perfectly normal blue chao stanging right next to the one I'm talking about. I guess I'll just have to continue on as planned. I'll post back after it evolves.

Hey Moon Dragon, for the whole jewel chao thing, do I have to mate 2 SA1 chao together, or will a gold SA1 chao and a regular SA2 chao work...?

Here are some rumors about Chao.

Note: there are some FAQ's and web pages out there that have 'recipes' to attain these and other rare chao combinations. They usually involve mating imported chao (from SA1) with Ruby Red chao. However, the Ruby Red Chao recipe doesn't work, and neither do any of these recipes. That is why this FAQ does not contain them, and will continue to label them as rumors.

Jewel Chao - When mating Chao, one in 30 is a jewel chao. These chao are shiny, but not reflective like a metallic chao. They are slightly see-through looking, yet are sill opaque. They can be seen in a challenge race. In all likely hood, these will be added to the Black Market.
Ruby Red Chao - Mate a Light Chao with a Devil Chao (or) mate a dark with a hero chao (or) mate a Devil and an Angel Chao. This chao is probably not real, but I will leave it here, just in case, as it would seem that none of these methods works.
Omochao - Not known, but people who hack games hex code claim that it is possible, hopefully legitimately.
Egg Chao - A Chao that is nothing more than an egg with eyes arms and legs, this can be seen in once of the challenge races, no one knows how to get it just yet.
Small Animals - You do race against the small animals at one point, but I don't think you can actually raise a chao that becomes a small animal, but that has never stopped rumors, before. So, I will list it here, because if it were true, it would be pretty cool to outrun a shadow chao with a gorilla.
Chameleon Chao - This chao has been reported and is most likely a glitch in the code, the chao changes color as you rotate the camera and in general is weird as far as coloration and color patterns go. Maybe this is intended to happen, but more than likely it is a game glitch.
Big Chao - This chao is rumored to be roughly twice the size of a normal chao. As the rumors go, you need to mate two neutral/power/power chao to unlock this oversized chao, remember, this is just a rumor.

ShadowGnat: Is it good or common to have a legless chao? I don't own the game myself, but my friend has it and i help him over the phone. I constantly gave a chao bats, will that increase flying or floating ability?

Dr. Chao: Shadowgnat, there's nothing wrong w/ having a legless chao. That just means that you gave him many, many bats. The bats don't increase any stats, just take away the legs of a chao and turn him into the "Casper" chao as people sometimes refer to it. The only way to get the chao's legs back are to give it Skeleton Dogs, so that they can cancel the added animal parts. Your chao's stats aren't affected by being a ghost, it can still run, swim, fly, and push and climb like normal chao...just without feet.
