Arcatera publishers; Con Artist? |
|
I make no apologies to anyone concearning this game. The publisher, creater, and programmer (s) have ran out of excuses with everyone else so that's why I can't get so much as ONE word from them.
I've got just about everything figured out concerning Senora and can't go any farther. Westka did publish 10 different forest layouts, so I'm wondering how come they have no clues or strategies (walks/faqs) when they can show the game character being led through the forest by a guide. And there are screen shots that I've never seen. Is anyone, besides myself and a couple of others on an Arcatera discussion board, willing to approach Westka and urge them to fix the game or atleast release a guide/strategies so some gamers can attempt to get through the game despite the reluctance of the creaters to straighten out the programming?

Sure, the game IS buggy but it's actually possible to complete it!!! After talking to Uthor and he says "I think we've talked enough now", leave it at that. If you keep pestoring him, he will never join you.
Barbarians will be your friend for 100 gold, just don't press your luck. Another day, offer Uthor gold, without talking, and he'll tell you to "Put that away!" Do this once each day, for a couple of days, and he eventually agrees to guide you. Tell him you'll give part payment and the rest afterwards. If you give him the entire amount, he's liable to take right off and you never see him again. NEVER, ever have four team members and hire Uthor too. You can move around for awhile but once you pay off Uthor, you end up with 3 team members, even though there's 4 members on screen. The person that was in the fourth slot gets booted out and you can't leave the present screen! The library doors are only open on certain days. If the 2 levers, on the left of the screen, aren't both up, the doors will not be open! So many things don't seem to happen, but they DO! The game has a very powerful AI, due to certain things happening on certain days. There's not much you can do from 31 Gargaryn to 4 Haas except collect and sell wealth for gold. You'll need a tremendous amount to make sure you'll outbid everyone on the donation board at the Temple. This is to ensure you'll be able to convince Priest to alter the "Wheel of Fortune" so that the Big Bad Prisoner in question will die. Just keep watch on the board, right up to the time of the "Holy Festival" and don't tell anyone of your plan, other than the Priest. So you see, even the designer Huss Weska and others, go more than they bargained for. Sure they cancelled the Dream Cast version of the game but they are a very small company with limited sources. hint hint hint!

Yeh, and I suppose the same person has to do all the donations at the temple. DARN!
I learned that the maps were not an official release, just a favor from Huss to some guy (aka NINROD) on another Arcatera discussion board of the EZboard group.

Basically, what I've been doing is starting new games till I got all 10 different Kandt Forest layouts. Then went through each one on the critical paths between each of the 5 important areas on each map and locating secret trails between each intersection. A magician with Find Secret Path spell does ok on Level 1 secret paths, but you need the Fighter AND Magician for instance, to find Level 2 secret paths using the group search.

When you finish the game, most of the time the Priest fails in his attempt to fix the Wheel of Fortune and it lands on violet, granting a stay of execution. Then Rog Gwenuar is rescued and joins up with the mercenaries. Consequently, Senora is decimated. Some claim that this is a bug. I'm not absolutely sure. I think it's due to not having high enough percentage points for the Elimination of Black Sun category in the notebook.

You said it, man. I recently got through to the finale, with 55% evidence on Elimination of Black Sun, and it happened like you said. Dang, and double dang.
Well, I'll just start over and try for more percentage. If it still doesn't work, THEN I will have to assume that it's a bug after all.

Hello... everyone here is at the end of the game. I can't even get past the city guards half the time. I get work permits and go to the gate I show them and nothing. I try to talk first nothing. I try to give the guards beer and or gold but they won't take either. Then my computer freezes up. Maybe it is the CD Rom on the DVD I don't know any suggestions???????
