hmm i jst completed ff8 for the like 3rd tme.. dint play it for a while
now.. on the end movie.. i get little confused wen rinoa finds him and hes like.. dead... then in the end credits when they have that cool video camera thingy u dunt see squall....
if any1 wud liek to help me out.. or give ur views on it

I am betting that u stopped when the credits rolled... After the credits, there will be a scene where Squall kisses Rinoa on board Balamb Garden...

Anyway, in all FF games, the game truly ends where there is a "The End" shown... If not, then there will be some more scenes coming up...

I think that this thread was posted before. My brother asked me the same question when he beated the game for the very first time. I just told him to be more careful and to do it again (he had saved before the last boss).
And so he finished the game and saw that Squall is not dead. How could he be?
There are games that allow you to save your game after the credits. That means that there will be some bonuses.
You will never know that there are such things if you don't wait.

Well FFVII ends where all the stars are shooting and it's playing the music. If you sit there for an hour nothing happens.

The answer to this question is no...Squall did not die in this game. Rinoa's love for him brought him back to life. i dont know how that is possible but oh well...it happened...he isnt dead.

Yup, Squall didn't die. Oh yea, notice when Rinoa is smiling when holding Squall, you can see him move. Proves that he's not dead.

Squall kind of looks wrong smiling at the end and all, its just not him, if you know what I mean.

Well it's not him, and that's why in my opinion it looks so adorable... like, it's odd for him to smile, and it's uncomfortable, but he can't help being happy when he's with her XD tehe that's so CUTE!

(I think he looks hott there anyway... but that's just me...)

I have not completed the game but I watch some sort of show that is showing allshows in FF8. I thought Squall looked like a ghost.

squall was never dead...it was more like he was k.o'ed from seeing those scenes of rinoa...um he was smilin' cuz he was with his girl and he sorta changed thru-out the game...

How can the main character die? Yes yes, if you are thinking of Tidus, then think about this. Was he even real to begin with?

Tidus was real. But then he died, and the fayth dreamt his living.
