I must say I'm not too fond of the new header. It's just too... simple
------------------- Adoramus Te, Christe, et benedicimus Tibi, Quia per sanctam crucem Tuam redemisti mundum, Domine, miserere nobis.

Who are you? I think it looks great and is a welcome change in a forum that has been struggling lately. Thanks to Stem Cell for taking the time to spruce up the forum. This place used to be a lot of fun and has really been slow lately. We need more people to help get things rolling again.

A hint as to what kything is might be helpful. The only thing that comes to mind when I read that is KY Jelly.

Congrats on the temp position. Hope there are plans of improvement other than games and contests... Wouldn't mind seeing a controversial topic being discussed.
Like this one I created years ago: First-grader checks out gay book from school library Games are cool and all but if you want to maintain serious traffic you have to have some substance. | |

I remember reading through that thread back when it was still being discussed. It's always great to see IE level discussion going on elsewhere besides IE. I'd really like to see more of those threads created here. Lots of books about the war in Iraq and about the Bush administration have been published lately and heaven knows they're a decent topic for such discussions. >>

quote Light DruidConsistency in thread titles would be nice, e.g. Title (Author), as would either replacement or removal of the broken footer. ------------------- We are us. Us is all. All are it. It is One.

Clean up the thread index? But then again that might be a bit too much to ask for

quote Wo Daddy WoThat is my thinking exactly. One thread that I remember that brought some thought and substance, though many may moan and groan about it, was the LotR vs Harry Potter Thread. I loved to visit the thread merely to read the different thoughts and opinions of people, as they took their stance on which was the better series. quote gdog2011Agree with you on that, as well. quote ZorroWould an addition to the rules help that out? And done. quote Dragonlord999I am not God. We shall see. ------------------- | |

Because this forum is old and the books section is new and there's no reason to move it? I like knowing that the forum is where it has been for ages. Moving it around doesn't really serve a purpose.

Perhaps making use of the ability to add a caption under the thread title in the forum main page. So the title is the book and in the caption we have -
"Author: Jack Smith Amazon Online: $14.99/£12.99" Or some other large online book selling company for both the UK and America, which make up the main regulars (or at least readers) of the forum. | |

I really hate that seller link. For a start, generally each major area/continent has it's own version of Amazon or whatever, and without a credit card it can be tricky to purchase something outside your area, if you even want to. Besides, if someone wants the book the link is on the profile, and if they make a habit of buying books online they'll know which site they want to go through anyway. Plus, I think it looks messy.
