Hmm, I'm thinking of doing a bookstore//library trip on Friday. Any good reccs?

The DaVinci Code and the Eye of the World are on my list but have been gone every time I check. >_<

Anything else I might have better luck at?

If it takes me that long. Remmember, I'm the holy master of excessive freetime.

The book is really cheap, though. 3.99, I think I saw it for last I looked. I have cash on hand now, so I'll go for it.

Please don't be afraid, but I might get a life soon... =P

Wow, a new General Discussions thread. When did this happen?

Are there any books that people recommend? I found an American section in a book store that has an okay collection.

Already got Artemis coming to me through post but I need a new book, I have not read anything good for some time. Everything seems like crap lately. So any good ideas, and don't say anything popular/famous.

I heard of this one book, kind of obscure. It's called Harry Potter. H-A-R-R...
=P

For the Jacques fans, or not, even, he's coming out with another book, as seen here, and on the Official Site.

Ribbajack. Sounds interesting enough to me. I'm certianly going to get it.

Still adding subheader pics--guys, remember that if you find a thread missing a pic and find one to add, feel free to let me know and send me the image. This thread will do just fine for that, or you can PM me if you like.

Haven't found any in need of replacement yet, Cloak, you're doing a good job.

I consider that personal business, but I'll tell the story anyway.

Being the complete cheapo I am, I got a graphic novel which I had wanted for many months,m which ended up being cheaper than Eye of the World. The Library was closed, and I found that out after making the purchase.

Summary :: Miru is lazy and cheap. >o<

I'm preparing to start a book club soon. Details to come. Note that other Seekers will play a role in it. (Hence the name, book club.)

¡ATTENCION!

We need a Christmas forum header, and yo no puedo find a good one. I'm working on a modification to another one at the moment, but if any of you find something you deem worthy of the header, post it aqui, and I'll think about it.

EDIT: Ahh, screw it. Wo Daddy Wo made me one that works perfectly.

re: Books & Lit General Discussion Mk II

Thanks to Mr. Wo for making the forum header for the vaguely trilingual Mr. Cloak; it looks... quite amusing. I was organizing some of my books and came across one that I forgot having by the title of Eye of the Beholder. Any idea if it has any relation to the movie of the same title?

re: Books & Lit General Discussion Mk II

You have no idea how many anguages-lay I know.

While I'm thinking about it, is anyone actually interested in the Book Club idea? I thought it had some potential, mainly as a little motivation to keep us all reading, but after nearly 20 views no one has responded. If no one is interested, I'll let it rest, but if not, I'd like to hear what some of you think about it, as well as your ideas for some good books to add to the list, present or future.
