I had to go way back in the forum to find this, but I'd like to see this thread or one like it be given a second chance. That is, if enough people feel like they would participate. One of my favorite parts of Literature classes was the discussion and hearing different peoples view points.

Oops. How'd that one miss the index? I must have seen the other short stories thread and thought it was taken care of.

Not sure how many of you listen to Internet Radio? But, check out this station if you're a fan of groovy 60's go-go, 70's Bollywood soundtracks, psychedelia, quirky oddities, cool-cat retro pop, surf music, eclectic out the ying-yang, etc...

Don't worry about it. At least you're only numero quatro. I'm number one with a bullet. Knowing Whitey, it's probably a silver bullet.
Why is it that Borders always has an over-abundance of books that I want to read when I don't have any money? ------------------- quote SlackerBooks&Lit Comics Transformers: The Movie Gundam Collectibles

"Borders"? Never heard of it; better than Barnes & Noble or Books-A-Million?

I think so. They carry an excellent selection of books, cd's and dvd's. And have the fancy coffe house section as well. Prices on the cd's and dvd's are higher than places like Best Buy or Wal-Mart, but the selection is often better.

The store I work at, "Hastings," is very similar, except our prices are often/usually cheaper than the big stores like Wal-Mart. I suppose we're cutting out profit margin, but that doesn't bother me a bit.
Well, so much for the boon in activity; perhaps the new Books section will change that. I suppose the fact that I've hardly posted for a week due to the demon that is FFXI isn't helping either...

I've been playing FF: CC constantly this week so I haven't been around much, then again I haven't for awhile.
Just a small request to anybody reading this, it would be great if you could advertise the thread made by Redemption so some other members might add their own list. Surely all members have read one book they really liked. As long as the book doesn't get past £10 (with exceptions), I think twice before paying the money. Otherwise it doesn't bother me.

I did have it in my signature but it wasn't working too well after the thread went to the second page. I might put it back in again though. You know ... later when I have time

Heh, I would think 'cloak's custom title of "Incurable Backslider" pretty much has that covered.
For some good news, I just found out this week where I'll be doing my student teaching next school year. ------------------- quote SlackerBooks&Lit Comics Transformers: The Movie Gundam Collectibles
