Try this site, go down the T's all the way to Tenchu, chose which Tenchu game, and download away! I am sure this will satisfy all your needs. it did mine! ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

I could make an easy hassle-free post in the Tenchu4 thread so that all fans can get hold of the soundtracks... like i have done in WoH. Alot more people can get the most out of it then.

Do NOT even give me that, Order! No way!
As i said, MGS's soundtrack isn't exactly 'expansive'. Atmospheric yes, but it's not as great overly as Tenchu's. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

ALL.
I am a BIG fan of the series. Had the games almost as long as Tenchu. It's soundtrack is not so great in my opinion. I know many who would disagree, and as a coincidence goes- my freind was saying how good it was the other day. But i fail to see anything 'Ear-catching'. People hype it up too much. Great main theme yeah, the boss battle themes are good too, but other than that... I'm sorry but i can't compare Tenchu's soundtrack (Well, Tenchu1 and Wrath of Heaven) to MGS' soundtrack. We all have our own tastes and the like, i guess if you don't like Japanese instrumental music then you will not like Tenchu, but the quality has a sheen to it... and feels so atmospheric! You feel like you are there! ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

You know, that just does not work.
Nice go at changing the titles around, but MGS's soundtrack is NOT a full blown, epic, full scale, atmospheric ALBUM!!! In no way am i bringing the game itself down, it has a... good soundtrack, just not equal to Tenchu's soundtrack. It's a classic game- just not in THAT department. You have not even argued your point, explain why you believe it is better! ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

LOL just messin with you dantess. The point of that was that when I read your post I pretty much thought the exact opposite.
I believe that Tenchu does have atmospheric music but I would expect nothing less in an ancient japan set game. I didn't expect to hear any industrial metal in there. I actually like the soundtrack of Tenchu but you just happen to name one game soundtrack that (in my opinion) was better than Tenchu. I just find it's fully orchestrated epic music riveting and adds to the experience. Ex: When EVA gives the speech at the end of MGS 3 about the Boss and her Sacrifice it wouldn't have been half as dramatic without that emotional orchestra song. Nothing like that happened in Tenchu. It had some cool background music.

Have you even played this game? Tenchu2 possessed some of the best background music during the scenes, i have ever heard. Nothing (yeah i said nothing!
Then you have got the snake eater theme, which just screams 'James Bond'!!! Hahaaa! Try the ending scenes of each character on Tenchu2 for overlapping dialogue and orchestral theme. Anyway... i too like industrial, but by no means is a chirping keyboard tune industrial. The only thing industrial is MGS's song's drum beat. I like the original Tenchu soundtrack the best. Each song is different, and has a different feel to it. Even the boss themes. ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins

quote Dantess26Maybe it did but the fact that I don't even remember any of the music than that tells you something. quote Dantess26That was obviously a tribute to James Bond themes because the games similarity and the creator is a fan of Bond. And that was one song definitely not the "theme". I think I'd rather listen to that than the wailing japanese woman music of the Tenchu openings. And you forgot to mention the Orchestrated version of the MGS theme in MGS3. quote Dantess26You do realize the MGS2 theme is just a revamp of the first games's song. quote Dantess26MGS2 theme anyone? And besides there's other games soundtracks I like better like: Castlevania Symphony of the Night the Metroid Prime series.

Alright, alright we have poured our hearts out here, and it's fair to say that we have contrasting tastes. (then again if you can't appreciate Noriyuki's singing, and the most awesome riff ever, you havent got a taste at all! (WoH's entrance theme).
Still... Any other good game soundtracks that you think are good? ------------------- "I would Happily accept the title of Fool, if it means that I can save even one life from your Blood-Drenched Dream." - Rikimaru, Tenchu: Birth of the Assassins
