re: does code really work?

yeah i heard about that,

but my mate tried that with an FFVIII disc and it broke his console,

i think he didnt dry it properly or something

i really wouldnt reccomend it cause theres a chance of getting toothpaste and water all in your console.

re: does code really work?

Listen to that suggestion: Toothpaste? I don't care whether some people got it to work with that or not, but if you need to use a refined product (anything that isn't basic material or specially made for these things) I can tell you it's bad news. Every toothpaste producing company uses it's own recipe to create it's toothpaste. Maybe the manufacturer of the toothpaste used by the person who figured this is a lot stickier then the one you use or maybe there's a chemical in either yours or his. That caused it to either work or not work. Or ruin the disc or console if you're in bad luck. So I highly disrecommend using anything like that.

Tip: Don't use toothpaste to clean your FFIX discs. =P
