re: how do ya get past the lock pick part !!!

There is a mission help link, but anyway, push the left analog stick round in a circle slowly, around the edge. When a pin is done you will hear a click and on the screen it will show the pick moving on to the next pin. When all the pins are done the door will unlock.

ahhh...I love the lock picking interface in this game. it takes a second to two to get used to, but once you get it, you've got it, you know?

bascically, use the left analougeand silde it slowly around the outer edge of the range of the circle. once you feel the controller vibrate, or hear a clicking noise, stop, and wiggle the stick around in it's place for awhile. you will hear another click if you do it right, and you will see a pin lift up. some doors have as many as six pins, so you may have to do this six times. i believe the training room door has six pins....

ahh...1111 beat me

Yea, by an hour and 25 minutes...

There's disposable picks, too. These are cool because all you have to do is equip them and hit the R1 button, and voila!

I didn't know that was the case. I never bothered to use those picks, the only time they could come in handy for me would be on the Kalinatek level, with the Russian's shooting at ya in the darkened car parking area.

Other than that, the regular lock pick worked a gem every time, very easy once you get used too it.

I used a few in Kalinatek. Right when you have to find the bomb before the time runs out, there's a door you have to pick with your lockpick. I used a disposable there.

how do you get past the lock pick part after just getting out of a lift? I'm not sure which level it is but I just can't get past it.

The lock pick system works the same for every door you have to use the lock pick to bypass.....

Simply follow the steps provided above to unlock the door.

I actually think the lock pick system is pretty cool and innovative. I expect other games to come up with some sort of similar system...
