Stop 'n Swop Discussion

This is the Stop and swop discussion thread.

Since this is still a mistery, I tried to find out what it was exactly. Without succes. Back in this forum there was a theory I found and I posted it. A Member called Link27 came, and told us it was true. If it is true? We still don't know.

Discuss!

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

There's not that much mystery to it. The secret items in this game were originally intended to be brought over to Banjo-Tooie with the help of a transfer device. However, there were concerns that the transfer device would allow N64 games to be pirated more easily. So, it never saw the light of day.

Therefore, the ice key and eggs are completely useless.

I heard about that device, but I never saw it or something. They said in that theory that you must do somethingwith BK and BT and switch the games in a few seconds. First do something in BK, and then quickly switch the BK game to BT.

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

I heard a micture of the 2. They originally planned to have a system where you could swtich BK from the stop n swap item screen to BT and you'd have those items in your file however by the time BT came out they had made some changes to the N64 game cartidges so they time you had to swpa was much smaller, less than a second or something so they scrapped the idea and instead hid some of the stop n swap items in BT, the rewards we get from those gives us a general idea on what they were going to be used for eg. Mega Glowbo, Breegul Bash

You can read more about it here. I wish something actually came of it. I was one of those people who cheated and got the Ice Key with the Moon Jump on the Game Shark.

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

I used the codes in the sand castle in order to get all the remaining eggs. The codes took forever to input, but I at least got another hours worth of Banjo Kazooie.

It was probably the old way of getting dragon Kazooie.

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

I thnik he's talking about the Ice Key, not the door. it seems likely that you would have originally had to use stop n swap to get the ice key in BT thus allowing you to get the Mega Glowbo and become dragon kazooie. Since they couldn't get stop n sap to work they just pit the ice key somewhere in Banjo Tooie, the same applys for the 3 eggs in BT, use stop n swap to get them in BT and tkae them to heggy to have them hatcehd and get a reward. Stop n swap didn't work they hid them in BT so yopu could still get soem rewards. Still I wonder what you might have gotten from those other eggs

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

I think there is something behind it. Nintendo had other ideas with the eggs and key in BK, and they ruined it in BT.

re: Stop 'n Swop Discussion

I disagree, I think they wanted to use stop n swap but they couldn't, but they liked some of the ideas for the rewards so much that they kept theem in BT. Dragon Kazooie is awesome, I think she would be a suitable reward for getting the ice key. The things from Heggys eggs aren't as awseome but still good and originally there would have been 3 more. In my opinion the ice key and stop n swap eggs is proof that there is no stop n swap

MWah... I guess they lacked abit with inventing fantasy's for those eggs. I expected something really cool, like the Theory.
