How do you get Epona? Also do you need Epona to beat the game or is it optional? -------------------

Its optional but you will need her to get across the gorge to the Sand temple or use your hookshot. To get her you must go to Lon Lon ranch and as a kid and pull up your ocarina in front of Malon and learn the Song then go there as an adult talk to indigo or w/e his name is and make sure u have 70 rupees on u and then use the song and get on her and ride for a while then do that twice talk to indigo before your second turn is over then race him, beat him twice and escape through the side fence or back or for a challenge escape through the gate gasp gasp ------------------- Next time a person calls you at home in the evening, say to them, “I'm really busy right now, but if you'll give me your home phone number, I'll be sure and call you back when you are relaxing after a hard day at the office | |

to get epona, first you have to be an adult. next go to lon lon ranch. ask to ride a horse. play eponas song to get epona to come to you. ride her until the time is up. ask to ride a horse again. while on epona, talk to the guy in the corral. he will challenge you to a race. beat him, the tactic is to use a carrot when you are slow, dont run out of carrots. when you beat him, he is a sore loser and challenges you to another race. beat him again, its a bit more difficult. and then he locks you in the ranch. jump over the fence leading to hyrule field.(on epona) and shes yours. she lets you transport faster, but is not needed to complete the game. | |

I wasn't even aware you could unlock the race without actually being on Epona, but to avoid feeling like a sucker, I won't try it unless someone else will confirm. -------------------

i would like to confirm it, but, A) my n64 is unplugged at the moment B) i dont have a gamecube copy C) my emulator wont run because i have a crappy video card on my computer and D) my mom took away my laptop, and my dad reformatted it anyway. -------------------  Click here to feed me a Rare Candy!
