I thought I could cheat at the timed quest to deliver the eyedrops by warping to death mountain. They spoiled instantly and I had to start it all over again. -_-
I'm glad that the medicines I get from the doctor last longer than 4 minutes, lol.

My most embarresing thing... Definitly trying to kill the guards in the courtyard first time around, and not kill them.

Accidentaly deleted my game when I was at Bongo Bongo...

Continually trying to beat the marathon runner's time and getting increasingly frustrated and threatening Shigeru (sp) , his mother, nintendo, god, the cow you won from lon lon ranch and everything in the room repeatadly while tearing your brain out because your such a failure you can't even complete a mini-game only to discover on a neo-forum it is actually UN BEATABLE. Yeah, not good.

for me well i use a farores wind warp point in the first twisted room for protection but i made it through the temple no flaw but i forgot to remove the warp and went to use the spell and went from the fire temple to forest temple

i spent an hour just building up courage to face Goma, then i laughed like a maniac for a further hour after o killed her in 10 seconds

The first time I ever ploughed through the game, (A good 8 - 9 years ago), I got stuck in the room just before the boss in Jabu Jabu's belly.

Why? I didn't realise that you could simply target the switch behind the wall to hit it. It took my sister and I months to figure it out

Another embarassing thing was; In the Lost Woods, (the area with the Deku Scrubs that judge your 'face'), I ran away screaming because I thought that the Deku Scrubs were going to attack me.

I ate a Deku stick and I got diarrhea. NOT good when you are trying to impress Zelda.

Me and my brother were stuck in the water temple for 7 FRIGGEN YEARS!!!!!!!!!! Reason: Didn't know how to raise the water. We couldn't figure out what the hell the triforce was for. Then, finally, my common sense came back from it's 16 year vacation (I'm 16 ) and I went to a walkthrough on this website. Also:
(MM) Tried to swim in poison water in Woodfall
(Back to OoT) As kid, almost caught the Hylian Loach in fishing pond, but was so suprised when it took the line, didn't do anything and it got away (I thought it was an eel)
(Pokemon Pearl XD): Came across a Shiny Noctowl in Pastoria Marsh and thought something was wrong with the game (I know about them now). So I started a new game

I once jumped off Death Mountain after getting the Biggoron sword. I made Link lose all his bombs, then my N64 stopped working. I accidentally knocked the game out of place.

The knocking-the-cartridge-slightly-out-of-place trick actually had it's uses, if I remember. It let you walk through walls in Mario64, or something.

I once attempted to travel through the Haunted Wasteland without the Lens of Truth. I didn't know I was meant to have it already . I got up to the stone platform where the 'Phantom Guide' awaits and continued to wonder why I could hear a poe, yet see nothing.

Mmm, that's probably actually a slight criticism that I'd have re Oot. It's not quite as...linear, I suppose, as the later games. This isn't necessarily a bad thing when it comes to sidequests (PH being a brilliant example), but when it comes to items that are actually necessary to finish the game, it's just plain annoying.
