Termina and their knowledge of technology |
|
Termina seems to have technology that is more advanced than Hyrule's, and since they have advanced technology to the point of that highly technological clock, I'm sure they would have some sort of nuclear technology. Wouldn't they try to make a nuclear weapon that would blow up the Moon?

You go from telescopes to... nuclear weapons.
There were a few things that came in between those, like... I don't know... telescopes that zoom to things that are more then 100 feet away, maybe? ------------------- quote Heather SmithIf you've sent me a PM recently and I haven't replied, it cause my publisher is making me busy. quote zoo zomWell, you're right, but that was one big ass telescope, lol. Another thing is, is that Ikana Canyon had a violent past, they probably fought them off with some sort of nuclear device. They also have Powder Kegs, and they're pretty useful. -------------------

You best be trollin' boy.
If you have a telescope that big and you can barely see something as close as the clock tower, they're not so much of geniuses. And the powder keg was big, but the explosion wasn't too strong. Yeah, it can blow up rocks, but lots of things can. -------------------

quote Yoshi EggFirst computer= big ass computer. First computer also= a piece of crap. Who probably fought off Ikana Canyon? The rest of Termina? Telephones came before nuclear weapons, as did a whole bunch of other stuff. Anyways, if Ikana had been attacked by a nuclear missle, wouldn't it still be a radioactive area? Or am I confusing that with an atomic bomb? Although I will give you that one. Termina's Powder Kegs are our Hydrogen Bombs. ------------------- quote Heather SmithIf you've sent me a PM recently and I haven't replied, it cause my publisher is making me busy. re: Termina and their knowledge of technology |
quote Yoshi EggThey're instant cameras! Not digital cameras! And no argument regarding Ikana's past is a sustainable one, because in a world of magic, the explanation is obvious. The most advanced thing in Termina is the plumbing (and very primitive plumbing it is), atomic bombs, astronomical war weapons and doomsday failsafes are very far from Termina's grasp. ------------------- Do you know what glue is made of? souls!

Fallout/Zelda crossover anyone?
Anyway, not to beat the point to death, but yeah. The existence of magic almost precludes the development of an atomic bomb, since by all rights magic can be...well anything, but more specifically it can be more efficient, cheaper, and cleaner than an a-bomb. ------------------- Keep your friend's toast and your enemy's toaster.

yoshiegg, you have quite a lot of curiosity. but to be honest, there is no point. the creators of the game most likely only thought of the obvious stuff, like the stories of characters, and things they explained in the game. but, they probably never thought of how advanced termina was. I think you have very good eyes to notice something that the game creators didn't.
