im pretty sure that other people have noticed but incase you didnt... link never talks! why not was he ever able to? help me awnser plz

Its not like anybody here knows the answer to that question.

The makers of the game simply didnt allow him to talk. I actually prefer him not talking. This allows our own imagination to destinguish what Link is like.

I like the fact that he doesn't talk because it gives the game more of a "first-person" feel. Since you can't talk in a video game, it lets you visualize what he might be saying or thinking, rather than you just being a spectator of what's going on on the screen.

Maybe he's the strong, silent type. I prefer him not talking because it makes you think up your own ideas up about him. Like what accent he has.

Actually Link grunts and groans, much like a caveman. This leads me to believe he has a brain the size of a peanut. A peanut!!!!!

Come to think of it, nobody in the game actually talks. They all just make little noises while the subtittles kick in.

It's because you are Link. Did you not notice that the filename you gave your game is put in place of Link's name?

The original reason Link didn't talk was because it would have been pretty much impossible to put voice files on the old NES cart.

By the time the capacity was available Link was already classified as the silent hero, and Nintendo didn't want to meddle. Good call too.

Good call is right. It would be too weird for Link to talk. I don't think I would buy the game if he did.

Link's earned his silent hero title, by making the game incredibly fun without endless dialoge. As mentioned several times before, yeah...it'd ruin the drama.
