she says "What is your name?" pause, "......" "Link..." "Strange... It sounds somehow... familiar." Link doesn't talk except for the occaisional question which usually have yes or no as the answers.

he does talk sorta, its just that u dont hear him, like wen people ask him his name, and wen u hav an option of what u want to say so he does sorta, just not alot:)

You do have a point, Roxas. He must have some sort of way to communicate other than nodding... maybe sign language when his hands are off screen? That's possible!

He never talks because its Nintendo Since when does the main character in and Adventure game talk other than when he makes choices

Kirby-no dialogue is ever used but narration is
Pokemon-the trainer never talks but the pokemon have cries
Metroid-Samus occasionally talks but only in Super Metroid and Fusion but grunts in the 3D games
Starfox-the team always converse with eachother
