Best units/classes?? |
|
I have been playing the game for a couple days now and I keep going back and forth on what I want my units to consist of, so I wanted some advice...
first off are dragons worth using at low levels like around 10? they seem to be ok but I feel like there are better ones to use, but if I don't use them will it be easy to get the upgraded dragons later in the game if i didnt evolve them myself? are beast masters, dragon tamers and doll masters worth their beast benefits? like each of them benefit a monster (meaning golem, beast or dragon) but are they worth it and if I have them should I make a unit of one of them and 2 of their corresponding monsters or just 1 monster with a couple other units? valkries just straight up suck right? I hate leia's unit I just level her up to keep her up with everyone else but her unit is worthless to me. the 4 units I like the most and that are the most effective are dio and magnus with 3 knights in the front, magnus/dio, and a cleric. then 2 units with two sorceress's in the back and 3 berserkers in the front. those four units wreck house against any unit I put them up against. so since I know I can't comprize my army of all those same units, what other units do you suggest making? | |

re: Best units/classes?? |
quote knives412I find that big monsters are better early in the game. Once you get fairly deep into it, you'll want to have five people in your units. Upgraded dragons aren't that hard to find, so don't worry about that. quote knives412Ehh, not really. I don't see much tangible benefit in the performance of monsters with those leaders. Beast Masters, Dragon Tamers and Doll Masters are pretty crappy classes. If you really wanted a Mountain unit, a Beast Tamer with a couple Mountain or Sky beasts would work. quote knives412They're reasonably versatile, you can put them anywhere and get solid results. I'd definitely change the class of some of them as soon as you get the chance. There is no reason to have a unit full of Valkyries. I'd try to get some male units in there to take the front lines. quote knives412Knights and Berserkers are great, you already know that. I like offense, so Fencers are some of my favorite early-game units. Sorceresses are better than Wizards, just so you know. Archers can be good as well to mix things up a bit. In the early game, these are the best units: Male units: Knights/Berserkers/Fencers/maybe a Phalanx or two. Female units: Sorceress/Cleric/Valkyrie/Archer If you get a monster or two, feel free to use it, but I'd only have one per unit. Also, don't bother with undead. They aren't worth it(at least the first few aren't.) -------------------
