Why did you, hmm, there's a English version of MGS. I don't know if there's any difference between both of these versions, so I just try my best.

Open up your Codec and call Mei Ling.

There should be a load game option at the main menu. Go into that then choose what memory card you want to load from, then choose the file you want to load. Hope this helps

How do you save? It's easy, Press SELECT for the Codec, the frequency is 140.96 or in the drop-down menu, Mei Ling!
To load is simple, on the Main Menu screen the option below New Game is Load Game, it's not open to you if you don't have a Save Game on your Memory Card, though!

It took me a long time before I realised how you saved, I tried everything, then my mate told me to try the Codec and in another New Game I heard Mei Ling saying she will save your progress for you, just call her when you want to save!
In fact come to think of it, at points if you have't saved for a while, but after you beat Sniper Wolf in round 1 before you face Ocelot's interrogation, she'll call you on the codec saying She has a bad feeling and says you might want to save, Snake asks why and she says it's a gut feeling! How awfully nice of her!
