well, if every Genome Soilder had the same Vision as Raven, it would be Impossible for Snake to hide, as he'd always get Spotted, so he'd have to fight his way through the whole game, ruining the 'Stealth' bit, all though, that would be a great feature for Extreme Mode

thats not true, the Genome Soilders have had rigours VR Therapy, which means, they may not have actual battle experience, but they are as well trained as any of the Special Forces

The guard in the torture room has normal vision though. I guess it makes it easier for your first time playing the game if they are all practically blind.
