I actually thought that FOX-DIE spread by air, because it would have made easier to infect all the genome soldiers and FOX-HOUND.

its definetly through contact because snake touched kenneth bakker the DARPA chief and liquid and they are all the people snake touched and also snake is affected by foxdie because in MGS4 well u can see the effect its had on snake

FOXDIE dosn't affect ageing.
FOXDIE has no effect on personal apperance, think of it like Cancer. Only a kind of Cancer that could kill you at any moment what-so-ever. -------------------  | |

Meryl and Otacon probably weren't included in the program, and that's why it didn't affect them.
Ocelot suggests that Mantis could have been immune because of his gas mask, and Wolf because of her tranquilizers. Also, the Foxhound members may not have been given enough time to die of Foxdie before Snake killed them. FOX-DIE targets specific people by their DNA, they have to be included in the program to die from it.

What about Raven though? He did not have any signs of being affected and nothing was said about him (like mantis caus eof his mask etc..) and he must of been one of the people to be infected by it, with him being in the foxhound unit at the time

Hmm, perhaps Raven was infected, but survived so long because he was very healthy?
It seems like he'd built up a resistance to a lot of things, and he was very fit physically, isn't it possible that would have made him a lot more capable of fighting off the infection?
