I remember my friend using a turbo controller and it saying he cheated or something and then it went to the game over screen.I just did it the old fashioned way with my index finger.

Yeah, but he doesn't know if your using one.

I don't even know how to use the Turbo button. I have one on my controller but I don't get it.

I put the controler on the floor and shook the controler while hitting the button. (you guys are a bunch of cheaters)

I can't EVER survive this, i always submit, any tips?

Well, using a turbo controller is probably the easiest.
But if you don't have one, or would rather not cheat, I find these things usually work for me:

- Use your forefinger instead of your thumb.
- Keep your hand ready above the controller, not on the controller.
- Keep pressing x even when the time is up, to regain some health before the next round of torture.

Also, try to use the escape route which takes the shortest number of rounds (ie, when the guard first uses the loo, rather than waiting for the ninja).

Have never used the turbo controller, and dont intend to really, its not exactly that hard, what is hard is on MGS2 after MG Ray fight, where Solidus is choking you, on Extreme or European Extreme, The torture in MGS1 is rather easy, but can get frustrating if you wait for Gray Fox to break open the cell door, as you arms then start to get a bit tired

It's quite easy in my opinion. Tap the circle button like your insane and you should do it. I managed to survive the torture on the extreme difficulty as well.

I just used an emulator to play mgs 1 because my discs broke i just swiched o button with spacfebar and it was easy

Huh? What's that?

What did you use for the other buttons?
