Nah not me. A Game Programmer is alot of work and it doesn't really pay that well. I'm pretty good with computers but I'm not that good lol. Besides that though I like playing games but I don't think I'd like making them. I think it would probably ruin the experience of playing a good RPG or any type of game for that matter for me just by how I would always be saying to myself "Look how amazing this looks or sounds. Why can't I ever make a game that looks or sounds as good as this?" or "Look how crappy this looks or sounds. I could make a game that looks or sounds way better than this." I feel like I would become obsessed with the game's mechanics and forget all about the game's storyline which I've always considered to be the most important part of any game. In fact thats why I love Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage so much. Mainly because of It's storyline and everything else doesn't really matter to me that much. The way I see it is that when it comes to video games, graphics and music are constantly improving but the stories are always the same in either being good or being bad. You could take the worst game ever made and remake it by giving it the best graphics and the best music in existence and it will still be the worst game ever made. I truly believe that if the heart is evil then the creature is evil meaning that if the story line is bad then the game is bad and no amount of better graphics or better music will ever improve it without changing the storyline which means changing the game entirely. That is why people should never let the game's mechanics become more important then the game's storyline but even so, it still happens. Hell it even happened with Aidyn. However I do still think there are some great games like Aidyn Chronicles: The First Mage that could become even greater if some improvements were made so they could finally be recognized by everyone for the great games that they are! Thats just my opinion though so I guess the answer for me is no but if there was also the option to become a "Game Tester" then I guess the answer for me would be yes! Because I love playing games more then anything else and even though the job pays even less I think it would be worth the sacrifice for me. | |
