PLZ help i keep lousing after i git to the first castle then i git way down the road and die! so the question is is there anybody else you can pick than the guy thats standing by the king,the mage woman,the thief woman,?

You can also pick Godric in his lab. I would go with a team of Abrecan, Godric and Brenna. I killed brenna off because thats the only way to get rid of her.

Nah do Abrecan, Rheda, and Brenna. Kill Brenna as soon as you can get Becan.

This is what I found. For a beginner, it is best to use Abrecab (guy next to king), Rheda (mage woman), and Brenna (thief). This gives you a good warrior base. Use all of them as fighters, just be careful with brenna, she dies easy. Use Rheda and Abrecan as the primary fighters and Brenna and Alaron as back up. An experienced player can get through with Godric, but it's pretty hard.

I don't understand why people kill off Brenna, I've found her to be one of the most useful. Besides being your main thief early in the game (at least until Keelin), if you equip her with a sword, she tends to at least her target with every swing. Alaron misses constantly, and even Abrecan is prone to it, but Brenna's almost a sure hit every time, and with a little concentration on her sword skill, becomes quite formidable. I usually swap Becan for Abrecan, and start with Rheda, too.

I agree, Brenna gets too much bad publicity. I remain firm in my belief that she is the best character in the game next to Alaron and he's only better because he can learn any school of magic. I have gone through the game several times and the best Party time and again has been Alaron, Rheda, Abrecan, and BRENNA! everytime I've gotten rid of any of these, especially brenna, I've regretted it. The fact that you have from the very beginning to customize them makes them far superior to any other characters you can pick up. The problem with picking Charaters up is that you don't get to pick what they are and a lot of abilities you only need one of, ex. Ranger, Thief, Mechanic, etc. So despite what ever anyone says, the best party is still the starting one, so choose well.

I must admit that I change my party constantly, because I love the characters in this game. ^^()()

You're right Nico, changing the group adds flavor to the game, and seriously, with a little practice you can win with anyone if you level up enough.

I'm so glad you agree! I enjoy a games story over anything else. If it's not a story I'll enjoy, why play?

Of course, this game is also really fun! ^^(), But changing the party add's flair, and lots of sub plots to.
(Espically if you pack certain people together, like Becan/Abrecan, Keelin/Brenna and Baird/Donovan)

Though, it is a shame that you can't keep Niesen, though theres a glitch for everyone else...Maybe one day we will find how to keep him! Because I love Niesen.

(And I swear! Looking in the manual, I think, I don't have one anymore, but I was pretty sure I saw a pic of Alaron on Chaos Island w/ Arturo, Baird and Niesen. ^^() I hate testing pictures.)

Never trust any pics like that, they are almost never like the real game, Ex. check the compass that appears in the screenshots here at neoseeker.

I mean, theres clues to keep Dougal and Farris, but not Niesen.

But I don't really normally keep Farris. I really really love Farris's character, but him being in the party kinda really messes up the story. And can make cutscenes go outta whack. ^^()

Then again, so is keeping Dougal to go and kill Pochangarat with but ya know..

Me, I can't stand Farris. One: he's annoying. i loved it when Alaron forces him to stop rhyming. Two, By the time I could keep him, My other members are twie as good as he is. (I Always kill off Niesen so I can attack the Tower with the same party that I Fight Shamsuk With)

I can't kill of Niesen, he's one of my favs. ^^() I see your points though, but Farris is just the cool rival person...but I wish the game ended his story off, I havent seen if it has. Maybe that cuitscene on the beach w/ Farris and Alaron will..hmm...Then again, the WORST thing about this game is the fact it dosen't end well. (You don't even learn what happens to BRENNA for goodness sakes!!) I wish we knew actually what HAPPENED with the ppl...Oh well. I've lsitend too to much news to know why of course. *sigh*
