omg! i went to load my game up and it showed a black screen with information about some kinda crash. then it went on to list something about thread,game position,etc. what has happened and can i get my game back? i would be soooo upset if i couldn't continue with that game cuz i've come so far!

That happens every once in a while, sometimes in-game (which is why it's a good idea to save often).

Just turn off your N64, and then turn it back on again. (Also, try removing and then replacing the controller pak) That should do it. You haven't lost your file, though you will have lost anything you didn't save (if it crashed in-game.)

it didn't work...

Well, if it didn't work there my be a few other things you can do.

First make sure that the expansion pak (or the normal pak) is installed properly in the front of the N64 and that it hasn't come loose. Try the 64 with another game to make sure the system itself still works.

Other than that, just do your best to get it working again. Some people blow on the bottom part of the cartridge to clean dust away from the chip there.

If that fails see if you can exchange the game or get it repaired.

If nothing is working you may have damaged either your catridge or your system.

this totally sucks......well i had tried starting a new game and it worked so i guess i'm back to square 1 : (
