whats the secret about navy pier. when you go to navy pier and turn left you see a locked gate. is it a secret area

No, the locked gate isn't a secret area.
The best part of Navy Pier is launching your car off those walkway ramps. Too bad you can't ride on the ferris wheel. | |

No, but I sure tried to for about ten minutes. How naive I was back then... ;D

The only thing behind that gate is a few trees a bit of grass, and a big drop into nothing that ends your take a ride time,
