It meant that Fox and Luigi would be forced to run from Mario, and find all the other fighters out there who weren't being controlled to help them defeat Mario!

But who would help? Maybe they could look for...

Samus, as they invaded the scientist lab on SR388, forcing a distress signal to be sent to her ship for this was the only way they could reach her since the Great Fox was overrun by the now sinister Mario...

Fox began to wonder why Mario was an enemy now and why Luigi wasn't. His suspision grew and grew...

...Just then, Samus rolled in blasting her arm-cannon!

Fox reflected it and knocked Samus out, but he realized that Luigi didn't try to manuvuer out of the blast...

...Luigi then approached the unconcious Samus, placing his hand on her helmet, and in that moment, with a sudden scream from the bounty hunter, Samus' suite began to deteriorate!

Just when Fox felt that it couldn't get more complicated, Samus came out from behind a tree and blasted Luigi.
She explained how the other was a hologram and that Luigi was controlled too when...

...a squadran of Fighting Polygon appeared!

...Samus and Fox then bolted towards her ship that was docked close by on the barron flatlands of SR388, only to see a controlled DK slowly climb out of her ship as they were now circled by the polygon team with no escape route but to charge through DK!

...Samus, charging her cannon, she turned to Fox, "Your reflector shield... activate it...", without question, he did (being the situation, any idea would do), putting her arm around Fox, Samus shot her charged cannon to the floor blasting them miles away across SR388!!!

Fox wasn't prepared for it and kinda zoned out. Samus franticly tried to awake him for there was evil afoot! So...

...Samus crouched down, triggering a mechanism in her boots just before she threw the fox over her shoulder, remembering the old sabotaged scientist lab close by, "It just has to have a functioning emergency escape pod there...", in an instant, a cloud of smoke trailed behind Samus as she sped to the lab.

Fox wearily asked "where are we going, Samus?" Samus...
