I never said Christian was better then Jericho, but anyone with a brain stem realises Edge and Christian were a great team who need a reunion. Would have been far better if it was Christian.

Edit At Shape: It would always make sense, they're 'brothers'.

It still wouldn't because - funnily enough I just explained this somewhere else - Christian is in a tough spot. He has to remain a household babyface name for the ECW brand, for the time being. I mean.. Dreamer can't ride that shit alone haha. You'll always be set up for disappointment if you hope for a reunion at every turn. That's sort of why when the reunion will happen - and it WILL happen - it's gonna be special.

Besides, Edge/Jericho isn't too shabby. Two Canadians, two cunning heels, they're the new maple-syrup flavored Rated RKO. I always wanted to see Jericho in a partnership with someone, his solo run has been awesome so far but leads you wondering how we would fare in stuff like this.

Eh.. With all the figures Cena beat in the past, it would have been incredibly stupid of them to have The Miz go over him.
Cleanly, yes. But if Miz somehow got the victory by cheating, it would only push the feud more. Cena would be pissed because Miz cheated, Miz would go around saying how ahsome he is for beating Cena, and the fans would want Cena to beat the shit out of Miz even more. There's no downside to that.

All the marks would still know Cena was better and Miz only cheated to win anyways. I mean I guess I'll have to reserve judgement until I see where they go with the angle, but I just think Miz beating Cena would've been the best thing to happen for this feud.
That's the thing though. They wanted to put closure to the feud, and this was the best way in the long run. Miz can still go places after this.

No way ever should Orton have such little space in a banner with the WWE title because he got cut out for a bigger pic of Tommy Dreamer. Come on now TLA, I KNOW YOU KNOW BETTER!

If anyone has a high quality screen cap/picture of Punk on the entryway after the match with Hardy holding up the belt, that would be *bleep*ing awesome.

re: WWE PPV Thread 2009 (Pt. 5) [Night Of Champions: July 26, 2009]

Mixed about the PPV, parts I liked, parts I were kinda pissed at. I had missed the last two Raw's and the last Smackdown due to not really having any time, decided to make some after seeing an improved card for The Bash.

Scramble wasn't a bad match, I thought they was going to be cheap and only have one or two changes, but in fact everyone ended up having one (Swagger even had two, possibly even Henry, although not too sure on him), only one that missed out was Christian (which I'm sure they will make note of ). Kinda disappointed Dreamer retained tbh, I can see why they did it, I just wanted them to push someone like Henry a bit more and make things somewhat more interesting. Christian is far too good for ECW and is one of the few things holding it up tbh.

No idea why the Rey V Jericho match was 2nd (although its quite clear later on in the PPV ), knew Rey would end up winning, although I did lol at him having two masks. Doesn't really prove much other than he needed it to distract Jericho to get the win. Quite enjoyed the little feud they had, but think its time call it a day there and have Jericho focus on the tag teams and Rey either take the break (dunno if hes signed yet) or do something else.

This match wasn't a surprise apart from Kane coming back, obviously didn't see that coming. Should set up a somewhat more interesting triple threat between the three. Needless to say, Dolph will die, or get stupidly pushed. Hopefully the former.

Marked so *bleep*ing much when Edge came out, it was awesome. Then Jericho (although I was wanting Christian so bad, although it wouldn't have happened solely because Christian is on ECW, and if they ended up losing it, they wouldn't have been able to challenge for it on different brands surely? Whereas Christian and Y2J are both on Smackdown), was actually a pretty boring much though tbf, other than them winning (which was blatantly obvious, but I would have been so pissed had they formed them for nothing). I was sick of the Colon's and Legacy are a joke. I kinda expected them to add the Hart Dynasty from ECW just to make it more comedic lol.

Womens match was a joke, as always. Can't even remember that much other than McCool won, which I predicted anyway.

Maybe I have the rules wrong, but I thought the persons leg needed to be on the rope, not under? What the *bleep*? Still, great way to get Punk to turn heel, guess hes not a tweener anymore then. Needless to say that he will be feuding with Hardy for a while over his win, lol'ed at Hardy after the match though.

Knew they'd book Cena to win, but was really hoping they didn't. Would have given Miz a massive push and really set something interesting up, especially if it wasn't done cleanly. Argh, was disappointed. Don't know how they'll continue this. Where the *bleep* was Big Show anyway? Expected him to come out and cause a DQ and attack them both, no idea who would have won as a result though.

Lol'ed at the *bleep* commentators. You don't think.... HHH got himself DQ'ed on purpose? *bleep*ing hell, they aren't half patronising at times, arseholes. >_> Was looking forward to the second match, so when they finished that in less than a minute was disappointed. Didn't expect Orton to retain either, but considering they keep showing promos of matches on RAW of him as champ for the beginning of July, it made sense that he would.

Overall, not a bad PPV. Raw's were pretty bland as usual, and Smackdown is only getting better.

Edit: Shit... I ranted.

Just looked it up and looks like I as wrong about the under the ropes situation. Oh well.

Lol'ed at this

Watched The Bash. Seemed ok. Melina looked awesomely hot and Jericho and Rey had a great match. Nothing else was overly interesting, but solid in general, tbf. Enjoyed the surprise of Edge and Jericho being new tag champions.

Raw was abysmal and I turned it off half way through again, lol.

Really? You missed your precious Mark Henry gettin' some at the end then.

Also, SummerSlam promo poster:

They took one of the recurring SSlam logos and darkened it. Blah. And also, it's presented by our resident Slim Jim.

re: WWE PPV Thread 2009 (Pt. 5) [Night Of Champions: July 26, 2009]

Didn't get to watch the PPV until yesterday, coz my friend and I agreed not to check out the results and stuff and just watch it fresh, as we've not done that in ages.
I'm glad we did that now, coz Jericho and Edge - Marked. A lot...There was dancing.

Anyways, Match by match look at the PPV

ECW Scramble: I had mixed feelings about making the match shorter, but I think it worked out better, because otherwise the match would've been pretty dull. Overall, not bad, not great. Glad Dreamer retained.

Jericho vs Mysterio: Match of the night, without a doubt. Superb back-and-forth action, and almost had me thinking Mysterio would be unmasked. Mysterio was better than I've seen in a while(double springboard moonsault, anyone?) and Jericho was more awesome than usual (springboard plancha reversed into a perfect Codebreaker)

Ziggler vs Khali: For a Khali match, it was good (which isn't saying much, tbh). Glad Ziggler won, marked out when Kane returned, then was disappointed that there'sgonna be a Khali vs Kane feud...again.

Melina vs Michelle: The good part was that Melina looked especially hot. The bad part was that Michelle won, making history she doesn't deserve to make.

Triple Threat Tag: Marked out at Edge and Jericho. Edge and Christian reunion can wait, these two will be awesome. Match itself was dull, but it became doubly awesome when Edge and Jericho won.

Punk vs Hardy: As a match, it was alright, but this was an appetiser for what I'm sure these guys can do. As far as making Punk heel, and continuing the fued, it was excellent. I thought Hardy had it won and was severely pissed off, but cheered my ass off when they showed Punk's foot under the rope. Loved Punk kicking the ref, and Jeff snapping after the match. Really builds the feud and their characters nicely. Match was ok, storyline was great.

Miz vs Cena: Was disappointed in the length of the match as, though Miz got plenty of offense, it made it look like a squash. If they had done the match they had on Raw the next night, that would have been much better. But I think they were running out of time so had to finish quickly.

3 Stages Of Hell: Average. They need to put this feud to bed, now. I'm pretty sure they were running out of time, as the first two falls were really just throwaways. These two are capable of better. By this match type's standards, and by these two's previous matches standards, it was decidedly average.

I also ranted. Sorry.

I've had enough of the 'making history' comment. Michelle could have lost and made history, the fact they're having a match is making history.

Just a poor and cliched exclamation for a new champion.
