If HBK/Taker is an early shoe-in for Match of the Year, then Cena/Show has to be a shoe-in for Worst Match of the Year. Seriously horrible. And it's gay that, despite all the progress done with Orton's character this year, that they're still playing him off as a cowardly heel. Remember Orton/Cena at No Way Out last year?
I don't get the point of Punk getting his ass kicked by guys like Kane and Umaga. They're already more over than him, and seeing as Punk's likely to cash in the briefcase soon, they should really get him over since he really hasn't been pushed that much from his first title run. ------------------- My favorite is "Everyday Struggle," 'cause that's just me.

Please tell me where it says that in order to be a heel you have to be a pussy. Hell, even Edge managed a somewhat clean win tonight.
And Punk was pushed as an underdog last time, that was my point. ------------------- My favorite is "Everyday Struggle," 'cause that's just me.

It's kind of wrestling 101, if you have a huge power house like the 'tist, you wont a heel go over him clean, because it makes him look 'weaker'. He has gone over people clean before though whilst being a heel, I.E vs. HBK at I think it was Survivor Series or No Mercy where he retained with an RKO a few years back.

quote cartelEdge is a pussy all the time. That's kinda what makes him a good and effective heel. Maybe sometimes too cowardly but whatever. My only gripe is they are making him look incredibly weak for a champion at times. Orton however is arguably seen as the more dominant heel. He gets clean wins most of the time, more so than the other heels. And like Jaffers said, a huge powerhouse like Batista has to be intimidating for any heel.

Part of it is the generic lazy booking that floods through the WWE.
Anyway, solid PPV, Shelton and Morrison was fun, as was Punk and Umaga. The lack of matches on the card really gave room for some lengthy match-ups. Miz was awesome as usual, the Marty Jannetty comparison could be almost prophetic, when The Rockers were together, literally everyone assumed Jannetty would be the break out star and look what happened. Miz has far outshone Morrison in singles since they split. I do wonder if Miz writes for himself, because what he says is so fresh and genuinely funny, I have trouble believing WWE Creative writes it. Solid PPV, a few highlights and the complete disaster that was Cena. The WWE book him awfully, The Rock and Austin were beloved by all because they were entertaining not because they were supermen. Just can't see why the WWE doesn't realise that. -------------------

EXCUSE ME!
Man, what an awesome time Judgment Day was. I think my interest in wrestling has just gone up since attending it. So I never had a sign. My friend and I tried to get a "Goooldbeeeerrg" chant going when Batista was up in his match against Orton but nobody in our section was going for it, they were all riding on Batista for some reason. Biggest boo of the night? Michael Cole. That was hilarious. I loved the "Let's Go Cena!" "Cena sucks!" chant that was going at one point, best chant I've ever heard. Could you guys hear it on the television? The crowd was lively and I loved how much support Y2J was getting (again, could you hear the Y2J chants?). But Cena/Big Show... what the *bleep*? Other than the chant, that match was boring. Half the crowd lost interest. If someone asked me what happened in that match I'd honestly say "I don't know" because I wasn't paying attention. I was wondering if WWE has a vendetta with Chicago. Not a single stipulation match on the card (granted, probably because of Extreme Rules PPV) but then to snub Punk in his home town? The crowd was going nuts for him. And at the end, we still have 15 minutes left on the show. The crowd is all sitting and going crazy about Punk coming out, a massive "CM PUNK!" chant fills the arena, and then... credits? What the *bleep*? Everyone was sitting there dumbfounded wondering what was going on. Lillian had to come into the ring and tell us all that the PPV was over and we need to go home. Miz is a legend. Half the crowd was cheering him like crazy (White Sox fans) and the other half (Cubs fans) was so riled up, hahaha. I hurt my hands I was clapping so hard for the guy. Also, *bleep* the Bears players. They left like an hour into it. Someone else mentioned it, Chicago was really big into the heels last night. Which is good since they were the better wrestlers anyway. But at some point, I forgot who, Y2J maybe, stopped to let the crowd boo him, and we all just cheered. Talk about a fail, haha. Dark match had Mickie James getting the win. God damn I would quit my job to have a night with that woman. The stupid smoke caused most my pictures to come out blurry. And the fireworks were loud as *bleep*. But overall, great time with an average PPV. My seats were awesome. You can see my head in some of the pictures on wwe.com. Finally: Morrison somersault = epic nuts. ------------------- ![]()

Samoa Joe and John Cena are actually really close friends, from their time together in UPW in the early part of this decade.

You suck so bad, Gabbo.
Yeah Hawkeye, the Y2J chants were awesome and funny at the same time. Silly Jericho, you know they won't boo you there. Despite the fact superstars tend to lose in their hometown, often with that comes a small upside in concerns to the hometown hero in another way. Either he gets the upper-hand in some beatdown or something else. Such as when he lost to Jericho in Chicago on Raw a few months back, they had him beat JBL in the dark match after the main-event with a rushed JBL promo preceding it. I guess they're keeping the mystery up when it comes to the MITB cash-in, but.. And yeah, the Cena bit was bogus. Bogus, bogus. Normally I'd forgive the WWE - for the 678th time - of rehashing things, but this just takes the cake, because NOT ONLY have they pulled this shit off eighteen times already, but now they've hyping this submission match at Extreme Rules with the fact Cena "couldn't lock in the STF-U on Show last Sunday and represents a disadvantage". When Show *bleep*ing tapped out to the move several times before. God damn. Even if they were tying this to Cena's body being banged up, it would still suck because it prolongs the inevitable Superman win. Nothing good can come out of this. Actually, one thing can: Miz. ------------------- ![]() personal thought of the day: life. is good. bob marley said it, and he's always god damn right about everything.

Can someone point me in the right direction why The Great American Bash has been changed to "The Bash"? Are they trying to cater to the non-American fan base. What next, changing SummerSlam to just "Slam" as to not offend anyone who is deprived of warm weather in their region.

Meh sounds like either they plan to move some pay per views overseas or it's a WCW like move.

All the matches at extreme rules are gonna be the same as Judgement Day but with stipulations.
And what the hell did Cena come out for on Raw when Legacy and Flair and Batista were fighting? Would've made more sense for MVP to run down.
