re: [WWE News] Mr. Kennedy released

From Wrestlezone:

quote
The early word on why Mr. Kennedy received his surprising release from World Wrestling Entertainment
yesterday was that in addition to injuring himself yet again, his nearly injuring Randy Orton was the straw that broke the camel's back.

Kennedy returned to RAW this past Monday night after spending ten months on the shelf rehabbing a badly injured shoulder. In his first match back, during a spot in the main event with Randy Orton, Kennedy injured his wrist.

However the more important issue in the eyes of WWE management was that Orton nearly re-injured his bad shoulder as a result of an errant move on the part of Kennedy.

According to sources, Orton and Kennedy had words backstage after the show, although it was said it wasn't heated. Apparently Orton very calmly dressed Kennedy down, explaining he has to be more careful so he doesn't injure anyone else in the ring.

WWE.com confirmed the release of Mr. Kennedy on the website yesterday in their "Industry News" tab.

re: [WWE News] Mr. Kennedy released

I must admit I did think Orton hurt himself when he got slammed then, considering he was physically punching the mat and actually swiped at Kennedy as if he did it wrong. From one perspective, its a big surprise, but if you think about it, it really isn't. He is a risk to other wrestlers and himself. That is something that the WWE just aren't prepared to risk.

I never really thought much of him as a wrestler, I'm sure he'd make a good commentator though.

Its obvious why he left. HHH saw him as a threat and obviously took him out so he could have more title reigns for himself.

Triple H has been the subject of many of Carlito's choice words, so obviously.

Aye, Carlito has said a lot on Trips' position within the company and how he got there...

That back suplex still wasn't entirely Kennedy's fault though. Orton's been pretty injury prone himself in the past. Still, I had to lol at Kennedy on RAW. He's just a walking fail. Even his jersey was a botch.

re: [WWE News] Mr. Kennedy released

I was wondering what exactly Carlito did to Steph and Trips to piss them off. I know the company had high hopes for him then he basically got dropped so figured he did something what was it?

re: [WWE News] Mr. Kennedy released

Basically he is very lazy and doesn't apply himself anywhere near his talent levels. A while back he was asked to step up his game and just flat out refused, resulting in a big depush.

He was asked again a year or so later, to which he then requested his release and when it was denied he began insulting Steph and Triple H, amongst other things such as the company as a whole. Eventually the company decided to release him but not before making him a complete joke first. He then changed his mind and decided he wanted to stay and here we are today.

Although since then he has taken snipes at Vince, Steph and Trips in little interviews here and there.

He was even paired with his brother to help motivate him and such.

re: [WWE News] Mr. Kennedy released

This sucks. I guess the WWE has valid reasons but this still sucks. I didn't catch the match last night but after seeing that gif or whatever, Orton looked pissed. And Kennedy didn't seem to be doing well either. Tbh, I think Kennedy will return. I'm almost sure of this. Tbh, Kennedy good talent and I think after some good time he will certainly be back better than ever. Kennedy has amazing mic talent and is a decent wrestler with incredible potential. I think Vince was just pissed after another injury. But after a while I'm sure Kennedy will be back but first he need to do some stretches and be careful in the ring.
