re: [WWE News] Nigel McGuinness Signed |

Never seen him wrestle but caught a few of his promos. Maybe I'll watch a few of his matches.
But WWE picks up another big name in RoH. He has the size to do well in WWE I suppose. ------------------- ![]() "When you go astray, I'll be there to punch you back."

Nigel should do well in the 'E, he has a move set that would transfer to the WWE style easily, he's pretty good on the mic, and he's not much smaller then Edge so i could see him doing very well in WWE. Although i said the same thing about Cabana, but hopefully they don't make the same mistake twice. Sucks for ROH though losing two of their big three in a matter of two weeks

*bleep* YEEEEESSSSSSSSSS!
Honestly haven't marked this hard since I saw Colt debuting on Smackdown. I'm so excited now! My two favorite current ROH wrestlers going to WWE is great to hear. Nigel has big things in store for him, I just know it. Hopefully they give him a better theme then that God awful one he has on HDNet right now. *bleep*ing in the Bushes or Roll On plz. ------------------- ![]() WWE is Jericho

After WWE failed to do anything with Cabana, a wrestler who was made to wrestle for WWE with his simple style and his tremendous charisma, I just don't have any faith in WWE to use Nigel or Danielson properly at all.

quote The HazardYeah I tend to agree with this although of course it depends on how each guy is booked. It would be great if they just let Danielson go out there and talk, but I don't see that happening + 98% of the audience doesn't know who he is. I think it's gonna be much easier for Nigel to draw any initial heat. He's foreign, so that's already gonna get some kind of reaction and he can build his promos around it. I think Danielson has the look of a babyface, but is much better at being a heel ------------------- Living brain, what kind of dork wants that?...With any luck, the kind of dork who'll be operating on your prostate someday!

*rolls eyes at thread title*
This is a great move. I can't wait until he debuts. I'm hoping they won't make Nigel into the generic tea-drinking, crumpet-eating, anti-american British snob that WWE has made nearly all of their English wrestlers into. He's an awesome heel (one of the best), don't get me wrong, but I'm tired of that gimmick. Make him a punk-badass face that the fans across the pond can support. He'll be a big success. More charismatic than Dragon and he's nearly as good in the ring to boot. Also has a better look. I could legit see him be a World Champion one day. I'll just echo my sentiments from the Dragon thread that they would be INSANE to *bleep* this opportunity up. Who could be next? Delirious, Claudio, Hero, Albright, Richards, King come to mind. Richards a bit doubtful because of the size, but he's definitely got the talent, look, and the charisma. With the WWE roster shrinking when it comes to size, I wouldn't be completely shocked. Speaking of shocked, I would be utterly baffled if Delirious isn't signed. I mean... they'd be retarded not to, is what I'm trying to say. Would throw Black into the pile if he weren't anorexic and incapable of cutting a promo. This message was edited by Cattle Mutilation on Sep 04 2009. ------------------- ![]()

Unless WWE keeps Delirious EXACTLY the way he is now, he'd be completely ruined by WWE. I hope he stays with RoH so he can actually have a chance of winning the world title.

Delirious is the perfect mid-card/opener wrestler that the fans can get behind, especially in the WWE environment. As is, he'll never be a main draw for ROH, he's become awfully stale in the company, and the fans---*cough* Philadelphia *cough*---don't appreciate his talent. He should go to WWE to make the money he deserves to support his and Daisy's recreational pot use.
He'd be used properly by WWE. A little engine that could that gets a win every once in a while when his up-and-coming opponent underestimates him. Oh and he'd also sell lots of masks. ------------------- ![]()

Another great signing, but they've squandered alot of great talent in the past.
Anyway, I just wish the WWE were 'addicted to love'... -------------------

Uh, don't forget how well Mr. "Hello, Ladies!" worked out. Twice. (For those wondering, he's now a part-time gaijin in New Japan)

Hopefully they don't screw out these guys like they did to that Bradon Walker. And I'll love to see their orignal moves. Cattle Mutilation ftw!

I want both to succeed but feel Nigel has a better chance than Danielson just because he's bigger. Nigel definitely should be allied with Regal, they would make an excellent team. I could also see him being a great addition to the new Hart Foundation given he's also British. Danielson certainly has the skills to get over, but maybe not the size or the mic skills.
