He's starting it up in Australia? Is it gonna be a touring promotion then? I imagine it would be, to capitalise on the whole 'omg Hulk's coming to our town!' thing they'll get.

I believe he owns alot of his own copyrights and such. Hence why he was Hulk Hogan in WCW in the early 90's. He's more Hulk Hogan than Terry Bollea nowadays.
Interesting news about this promotion, although I predict it will suffer the fate of the XWF or whatever it was called in 2001. A pile of 40/50+ wrestlers and friends of Hogan bandy together for a legends promotion that tries to get by on name value and no decent matches or booking. As much as I'd like it to last since Hogan has the pulling power within the industry to really make a difference, I just can't see it. -------------------  | |

I knew Hogan was planning a promotion for a while, didn't know Bischoff was involved. Shame as I would have loved for him to be involved with the WWE, and hopefully stop them doing the damn temporary GM thing.

I think Eric bought the Hulkamania rights from him a few months ago so Linda wouldnt get any of it. Thats all I can remember.
If anything Hogan should get his buddies together just to start up a promotion, introduce young talent, then bring it all to TNA and work something there. Just make a huge clusterfudge of Main Event Mafia then have an actual WAR between the Legends and as many younger talents as they can, from ROH, and other promotions, leading up to a four hour ppv that ends it all, make it seem like its the end of the wrestling world as we know it with the younger talents the winners. I dont know, maybe I just want an insane movie climax. deep breath, and scene. ------------------- i love those big things. | |
