I think the case is simply how Batista is sort of a freak show, when it comes to injuries. He may be old and fragile, but every time he's injured he manages to come back early. Except in 06 when SD! was in the ditch, he took his sweet-ass time, so I don't know there. But he seems to be pretty high tolerant most of the time. During all his injuries, you read how he's gotten out of the bedpan early and doesn't waste time hitting the gym and rehabilitating to get back into the ring. Actually in 05, before he finally got put on the shelf, he wrestled for a while injured with a bunch of bandage all over his body. It had to take another bad bump to finally get him out of there. Some wrestlers have really high tolerance(Angle, Hardcore Holly) and Batista could just be one of 'em.
