Evolve Wrestling Announces Its Debut

For several months the DOI was hyping a major new company coming to the northeast area. While we can't get into specifics, as we don't know them all, we can tell you that EVOLVEWrestling.com has launched!

Based on the information on the site, the website will evolve (Get it?) over time, as there is currently a counter that leads to noon (12PM EST) Wednesday. The company will announce bits of news and notes as time goes on, and by using the timer, it should increase website traffic for fans looking to see what's evolved next on the site.

There are currently two links on the Evolve page. One is a link to Gabe Sapolsky's Myspace, where he says the following:

For fans wondering why Davey Richards chose DGUSA over ROH, perhaps now things are a bit clearer, as Richards looks to "evolve" his career. (Ok no more evolve pun jokes.)

From talking to Sal Hamaoui of now FIP/DGUSA/Evolve, the plan for Evolve is to be a northeast wrestling company with Gabe Sapolsky as booker. It should be interesting what other talent comes on board. With this announcement, both Gabe & Sal will be very busy as Sal has FIP in his home base of Florida, DGUSA being a national touring company and now Evolve in Gabe's home of the northeast region.

Nothing official has been announced yet for Evolve, but it is a safe bet the first show won't take place until 2010.
