Ring of Honor |
![]() Ring of Honor ![]() Ring of Honor is a hybrid wrestling promoiton that has a roster full of wrestlers from all over the world and of different talents. RoH's roster is pretty balanced. It has it's set of talented heavyweights, some amazing lightweights, stunning valets, and a decent women's division. It's roster is like no other. You will see stars from all around the world and may even run into some familier old faces from those 'higher' promotions. It has a good line-up of champions. Firstly it has Samoa Joe, who has defended the ROH Title time-and-time again to keep it for an amazing 1 and a half years. Here is the full title record credit to RoHWrestling.com. quoteBut you can't have a good promotion without a great tag team division. The Havana Pitbulls, Ricky Reyes and Rocky Romero have proved themselves worthy after tieing wtih the Broscoe Bros. for the most successful defenses. Here is the Tag Title archive also credit to RoHWrestling.com. quoteAnd what about a special title? A title that not just anyone can win, but a title that involves you to have a special skill. To be a PURE wrestler. You won't be seeing lugs like JBL or Monty Brown ever winning a title like this, that involves Pure Wrestling. Here is the archive of the RoH Pure Title. quoteAnd what about stables? I mean come one, every promotion needs one. WWE has it's Evolution and Honor Society, TNA has it's King's of Wrestling, but RoH has a shitload lof stables! The Rottweilers: Homicide, Low Ki, Ricky Reyes, Rocky Romero, Julius Smokes, Slugger, Grim Rieefer, and Bison The Second City Saints: CM Punk, Colt Cabana, Ace Steel, Lucy, and Tracy Brooks The Carnage Crew: Tony DeVito, HC Loc, Justin Credible, and Masada Generation Next: Alex Shelly, Austin Aries, Roderick Strong, and Jack Evans The Embassy: Prince Nana, Xavier, Oman Tortuga, Diablo Santiago, Josh Daniels, Jimmy Rave, and Angel Williams And of coarse, the Rich Kid Ravas, the east side stoners, those crazy kids... (Both old and current members) Special K: Angel Dust, Becky Bayless, Brian XL, Cloudy, Deranged, Dixie, Elax, Hydro, Hijinx, Jody Fleisch, Joey Matthews, Izzy, Mikey Whipwreck, Slim J, Slugger, Yeyo, Lit, Krazy K, Mello, Dana Dameson, Abyss, and Fred the Elephant Boy What's a promotion without personalities? You know, a person who comes out and your spine immediatly starts to chill. I'm talking about guys like: GM Cappetta Dave Prazak Let Thatcher Julius Smokes The Legendary Ricky Steamboat Mick Foley, yes, I said Mick Foley That tennis racket bashin' Jim Cornette And of coarse Bobby "The Brain" Heenan What about a school? Doesn't a promotion need a school to develop those youngsters itching for a contract? Of coarse, and in my view RoH has the best one available. Here are the details to the wrestling school for RoH! quoteYes that's right, the best all-round wrestler in the wrestling world, CM Punk, is the head trainer. How can you go wrong? YOU CAN'T! So, why not give RoH a chance? It has all the talent, it has a worthy champion, it has a very good school. So what if it's held in a gym? So, they aren't the richest promotion or the biggest fish in the sea, but they are defiantly a blue chip company that will be in the ranks of TNA in a matter of time. quoteYou listed a bunh of RoH stables after that, that's why I thought you meant RoH. SAT... no not really, hahaha. If they were in TNA before 2004, I probably wouldn't know them well. If they were in after 2004 began, well I'd have no reason to forget about them ------------------- ![]() ![]()

That's kinda suprising to me, I thought TNA and RoH were still bitter towards each other after the Rob Feinstein incident.
Good to see AJ back, even if it is a one-off appearance.

Apparently, I read that TNA is letting superstars such as AJ Styles tour more now. He's actually going to an IWW show in Dublin sometime soon which I'm going to try and get tickets for.

Exactly how can someone watch ROH .. is it only via DVD? I've seen a couple in either Best Buy or Sam-Goody, and was thinking of picking one up just from all the good stuff I've been hearing as of late.

Yeah, you can only see them if you buy tickets to see them live or buy their tapes - they aren't on PPV or anything like that.

re: Ring of Honor Wrestling |
quote Drop To ZeroWhile I think it is good for the fans to see AJ back in ROH, as I understand it, he won't be very welcome (and neither would Christopher Daniels) by the boys in the back. CM Punk (one of ROH's locker-room leaders along with Samoa Joe for those that don't know) recently stated that fact in an interview. Hopefully there won't be too much heat from the ROH boys though since AJ is a such a great talent boost to ROH. ------------------- ![]() ![]() Banner: dugarry

Here are the full results to RoH Final Battle.
Ring Of Honor will never be the same after "Final Battle 2004" in Philadelphia, PA at the National Guard Armory on December 26th. Austin Aries is your new ROH World Champion as he ended the 21 month reign of Samoa Joe with a thrilling victory. This was only one of many happenings that changed ROH forever. Here is the whole rundown: Jimmy Jacobs defeated Trent Acid. After the bout, Acid said he quit ROH and walked out. Deranged & Lacey defeated Angel Dust & Becky when Lacey pinned Becky. After the match, Lacey ordered Deranged, Cheech and Cloudy to attack Becky, but Dunn & Marcos made the save. Dunn & Marcos have been looking for revenge on Lacey's Special K since the attack at the end of the 9/11 "Glory By Honor III" home release. Homicide with Julius Smokes defeated Josh Daniels with a new arm submission. Pure Champion John Walters retained the title against Jimmy Rave of The Embassy with Prince Nana & The Outcast Killaz. Walters used a submission in the ropes since Rave used all his rope breaks. After the match, Nana offered Walters a considerable amount of money to join The Embassy. Walters sold out and agreed. The Embassy now have their champion in John Walters. Dan Maff & BJ Whitmer defeated Loc & Devito in a brutal and bloody Fight Without Honor. Both teams used garbage cans, Singapore cane, tables, chairs, ladders and no one would go down. Mick Foley then came out and dumped thousands of thumbtacks in the ring. Shortly after, Whitmer hit Devito with a wrist clutch exploder on the tacks to score the pin. It marked the first time thumbtacks were used in ROH. Ricky "The Dragon" Steamboat then came out to confront Foley on the use of thumbtacks. The two engaged in a must see debate. The end result was Steamboat acknowledging that hardcore wrestling does have a place in ROH. Foley said that ROH was a buffet of styles and that hardcore wrestling was the desert. Foley then called out Samoa Joe. Foley asked Joe to apologize for Joe's comments on 12/4. Joe shook Foley's hand, but then sucker punched him in the face. Steamboat stepped in between both men before anymore fists could be exchanged. This is just the beginning of the Foley vs. Joe issue. Jay Lethal defeated Prince Nana's Weapon Of MASK Destruction #2. After the match, Lethal challenged Jimmy Rave. Steve Corino & CM Punk defeated the Generation Next team of Alex Shelley & Roderick Strong in a quality match that saw Punk and Corino work as a team while trying to one up each other. After the match Austin Aries came to ringside. He told Shelley he was taking all the top spots and that included Shelley's spot as leader of Generation Next. Aries then gave Shelley the ultimatum that Shelley has given so many others- either walk out and get a beat down. Before Shelley could respond Aries punched him. Strong then joined Aries in beating down Shelley. Low Ki vs. Bryan Danielson ended in a no contest. ROH officials later changed the decision to Low Ki being disqualified for outside interference. The hard-fought contest saw Ki and Danielson battle into the crowd, where Ki's fellow Rottweilers Homicide and Julius Smokes attacked Danielson. They injured Danielson's arm with a chair. The locker room emptied in a riot like scene to save Danielson. Ki then demanded that Referee Sean Hanson award the match to him since Danielson couldn't continue. Hanson refused and Ki punched him. As a result, Ki is suspended indefinitely by ROH. Attacking an official will not be tolerated and Ki has broken the Code Of Honor. Austin Aries defeated Samoa Joe in a must see match to become the fourth ever ROH World Champion. Words can't do this emotional match justice as the pinfall got the loudest reaction in ROH history. The new champ is here!!! Things will never be the same after "Final Battle 2004." There is no telling what will happen in 2005.
