I don't know if these guys were mentioned, and if so my apologies for not noticing, but also worth mentioning are indy guys Shane Shamrock and Jeff Peterson. I'll find more details later but Shamrock was a promising light heavyweight in Maryland Championship Wrestling before he was killed by a police officer in a misunderstanding, and Peterson was a top up-and-comer before losing his battle with cancer. Both have/had memorial tournaments in their name-Shamrock's was run by MCW and for one year by Ring Of Honor, Peterson's by East Coast Wrestling Association and his uncle (I think), ECWA promoter Jim Kettner.
Edit: Shane Shamrock's real name was Bryan Hower.

Also can't forget perhaps the most tragic family story of all: the Von Erichs (real last name of each is Adkisson)...Chris (Suicide), David (Drug overdose), Fritz (Jack-Cancer), Kerry (Texas Tornado-Suicide), and Mike (Suicide).
Also want to add Francis Jonard Labiak (1929-2000), known to all of us as Gordon Solie, The Dean of Professional Wrestling Announcers.

I miss Owen Hart the most. If he was still alive today, he'd probably be a multiple world champion today IMO

I personally would have liked so see Owen & Bret in some sort of program together, whether as a team or feud. Owen may not have had the charisma or talent of his brother, but he was very capable in his own right. It's still painful to think about his death at that PPV.

In a way I'm glad I didn't see that ppv. I would have been crying even worse.
