I just want to see Bob Backlund take the podium and give his Oath of Office to the WWE Hall of Fame. It should be quite comical.

Eddie Guerrero is the second inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame.
He deserves it for all he has done.

Actually, the longest reign is 7 years-Bruno Sammartino from 1963-1971. Backlund had 4 title reigns.
Edit: For those who might have read this on the Net, rumors that Tony Atlas being contacted about induction are just that: rumors. It has not yet been confirmed by WWE.

Oops, I forgot Backlund isn't going in this year, but Dusty Rhodes is. Well, his speech should be comical as well, but not on purpose like Backlund's would be... if you weeeeeeel.

If he does, Dusty that is I wonder if his son will annoucing him. You know like Randy did for Orton last year.

btw: I could of swore Iron Sheik held the title for longer than 7 years.

Iron Sheik held the championship for an entire month. That's it, his one title reign. Bruno Sammartino held the title from May 17, 1963 to January 17, 1971. He then had a second title reign that lasted 3 1/4 years.

If anything it would be at WWE head quaters or a city that is big in wrestling history like New York or something. Eddie deserves to be inducted this year and hopefully they don't turn it into a story line. Now there's two confermed guys I could see Benoit being the one to induct them.

About Bret Hart ... I checked, but didn't see this but I can not be the only person to think this is all an April's Fools Joke. Am I? The induction is being held on April 01, 2006 ... c'mon, I was skeptical when they announced Bret's name for he's turned down the honor several times before. Despite Vince and him being on some better terms as of late having it on that date just futher's my suspicions.

Then WWE treats this with much respect so I just can't imagine them trying to pull something like this off, nor have anything to dishonor the show (ie. Orton making comments about Guerrero as some have suggested).

I heard that he's going to do it, but not tke the pay check for doing it so he's technically not working for them. All I heard WWE was doing for him was paying for his acomidations along with his wife's as long as he camew to the ceremony and Mania
