The rules definitely need some work. For example:

You'll definitely need a list of topics before starting the game. How are they given out? Randomly? Everyone has the same?

How exactly does the judging work? Do the judges choose the best one? Give a score out of 10?

What happens if there's a tie?

Teams? The image suggests it's 1v1.

Will the players have any say over which stance they can take? If someone is anti-global warming, how can they debate for it?

Is it one post each or will the initial debating team get to counter the points of the second debating team, and so on. If not, then is it really fair to the first team?

In regards to the debate thread, the one Guest put up just recently was not what I had in mind.

Rather than an organised system like this, I thought someone (most likely Hellfy, though not limited to him) would put up a statement on a current issue (for example: "those responsible for the arsons should be put to death") and then we, as the forum goers, offer our opinions, and such a natural, but less strict and formal debate springs from there. That way, not only are we offering our opinions on major issues, but it can also be a way for forum goers to learn about the more groundbreaking issues in a less formal way.

I do hope that made sense. If there are any questions I shall try my best to clarify.

• The topic will change whenever the old topic has run it's course
• Try to post intelligent works - that is, good grammar, correct spelling, informed opinions, etc. Think of it as the old-school "Zero Tolerance Rules" from IE.
