Jay... Manager shifts at a place like dominoes/maccas. etc, just mean you're a supervisor, you don't do any actual management. and not illegal afaik.

Illegal or against the rules?

Job 1: I work at Safeway/Woolworths at the registers. Fairly straight forward work.

Job 2: At a local funeral home where I do like transfers (taking the deceased from their location back to the funeral home), various mortuary work (yes I deal directly with the bodies), gravesite preparation and assiting at funerals.

I used to work in deli at coles. Then I got a job at a Coal Train Company.
Yesterday I did an 8 hour shift, got paid for 8.4 hours, drove for 3.5 hours of that shift, did nothing much for the other 4.5 hours.
Easy job for great pay.
Should be on over $80K a year within 4 years.
$100,000+, Eventually, I hope!

I missed this thread because I was busy...

I recently started my new research job at the Murdoch Childrens Research Institute. At the moment all I'm doing is cloning DNA (although that keeps stalling because none of my digestions work ), but I'm basically working on a smaller component of a larger project investigating the special properties of a collagen gene. Nice hours, nice pay and related to my area of study, so I'm loving it.

I also umpire hockey games at least twice a week, which nets me some extra cash on the side, although that's more of a hobby than an occupation. Just finished a season coaching a Year 7 hockey team too, and got myself a cool $1000 for those three months.

I work as a private tutor, teaching math for whatever school year level. The pay is good considering I only have to put in a few hours a week, and it works for my schedule.
