Slim shady. Nobody wants to read private convos you have with fyre. It's shady to even drag that shit in the open, and you've done this like 3 4 times now? Classless

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

here we go again...

Okay so, I'm not allowed to ask the *bleep*in chamber if they have any opinions on you making rules to break rules?

This is a little bit silly now. You're deleting my posts and going all out so you can seem all big and bad?

This IS the feedback thread. And if I'm not mistaken, the place for me to bring issues.

You not respecting a reply time is an issue, dude.

Kaf
What are you talking about... he gave me express permission to request chamber opinions on the matter. I removed the elements that were non-related. He posted everything. So, that attack is faced with the wrong name, bud.

This isn't a personal convo, it's a question I'm asking the chamber.

"Is it acceptable to take as long as you want in a no feeding battle because someone spat before you did? IS this a rule that is unspoken? Should I not expect a battle verse within reason of the reply time because the advantage remains, his?"

I's no issue now though. Seeing as he just made a rule so it suits his needs to win a battle.

Exactly, so will you please do everyone a favour and shut up? Your last post was deleted for being nothing but you whining without a constructive point. This post barely qualifies as having one, so I'll leave it up, but stop dragging your shit through Open Mic. This inane matter has been resolved, stop spamming the thread.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

The matter hasn't been resolved. Just because you said it is.

I'm(was) asking the chamber, not you. So, kindly, stop hogging the thread. The only person "spamming"(though, replying and asking questions without double posting is NOT spamming.) is you. In the form of trolling. In the feedback thread of all things.

My question is still standing. And I welcome the opinions of the chamber because, I'm helping all of the new guys with their posting. So, it would be in my best interest to be correct when telling them what feeding and no feeding allows you to do.

In any case, until now there wasn't a rule about posting first. You've created one because it suits you. Good to know where you stand on the issue.

And note; this is not spam, either. But, telling me to shut up, calling me names and abusing your power is not acceptable ways to handle a legit issue raised by a person who's part of the battle in question.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

So far the chamber has told you to shut the Hell up as well. I made an official ruling on the matter as is my prerogative as moderator. Maybe you should have thought ahead when you said I should "go make the shit official" if you don't like that. If you really wanna hear some more opinions on how annoying you are, then fine, but tomorrow I'm ending the ranking systems poll and bringing discussion on that back here, so wrap up your drama before then and get out of the way.

And no, do not reply to this post.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

Alright man. You win. You speak for the chamber. Requesting that reply times be respected as per the fundamentals of OpenMic is out of bounds for you, as moderator. You set the rule, and I can respect that. As I am respecting the rules now.

I'm sorry for pissing you off, how ever that happened. And, I'll reply within the forum rules. The chamber hasn't spoken - Wile did. However I retract my question because I don't feel like getting banned so you can be an idiot.

------------ ------------

I do have another question, though:

Since I'm writing up the tournament, can I get some names/requests for rules in it.

I was thinking no feeding but Wile, MnM and others have had a kick recently for it, so, I want to do what yall want..

20 lines good? Heavy judges only? do we want judge sign ups again?

I personally liked the last tournament, so. Lemme know, fellas.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

If it's a tournament, make it 1 round battles, 20 lines max and no feeding, experience has shown that anything more than that stalls the proceedings. Have the time limit be like, 72 hours for both emcees to have a verse up from when the actual draw for that round is posted.

I would say that if you win the belt, you shouldn't be involved in the tournament, either battling or judging. Being set up to fail in the Big Lizard tournament was an experience I'm not keen to repeat, or have anyone else go through.

Well, if I don't win the belt I can't put it up for tournament. Fyre's had that option for 2 years now.

Yeah, I wasn't going to participate anyways. I was going to run it.

Basically with you there.

Should we expect you to participate? would be nice to vote on battles that make me giggle in real life, more than once.

If there's a tournament, I'll be in it I imagine, I've had pretty good luck with tournaments over the years.

Stop rubbing each others clitoris's so hard for f23ks sake.

Two sense: Fyre is right he has whenever he wants since you are supposed to alternate who goes first.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

Which rule is there to determine who's goes first? It says normally. So, I've always considered the rule where reply times mean to reply within this amount of time - as the actual rule.

Again, i'm not saying I'll DQ him or even ask for that. I'd only asked him when he was expecting to drop and if possible, within the rules of the battle - this would make sense. While creating such rules out of thin air because you dislike being proven wrong is nonsensical.

In a battle with feeding, posting first every round is your own advantage loss. Posting without feeding is the same effect - however there's no real benefit outside of seeing what your opponent's spit is.

I hear ya facts, thanks. And I agree, ironically enough. I think posting second if you post first, in the first is fair. I also think posting first in the second round after doing so in the first - is advantage red team. And thus fair. And the reply time should still stand. If not more so.

Edit: Watch Grindtime, King of the dot, scribble, etc. first person goes, second goes. round 2: first person goes again, second person goes again. Rinse and repeat, overtime switch.

Look, What I'm making a point of is how the real deal is. I'm not arguing that I should post first. I'm arguing that because I have, that does not excuse Storm to taking 2 months to drop a spit. As per, the rules of the battle and the personal request I'd asked by having him let me know when I should expect his verse. If he taks 2 weeks I'm still happy. Despite the 48-72 hour mark. I just don't like waiting 2 months, as wile said. That's all

Oh, and obviously I can't request a "fair and balanced moderator" be DQ'd like he pulled with Jecht, for doing the same thing. I'm aiming to prevent that. "Do the heavytitle right by getting both verses up"(quoting him, from that era) however, within the rules would be 'fair'.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

I guet what you saying but usually you would want to post second so you can read there spit and make sure yours is up to par, because probably you lost the first round if you went first because of this reason. Its really up to you but is should be expressed in the rules or the latter is otherwise how it usually goes. Unless your just horrible per say Tai Mack vs. Wile or some shit.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

I don't think it really makes any difference who goes first in a no feeding battle because it's not like the reply times are really enforced but I wouldn't do a 3 round no feeding battle so what do I know? It's just splitting hairs.

re: Feedback From The Forum [4]

Alright, in response to the official poll, it's clear that Open Mic as a majority doesn't want any kind of points-based rank system. So let's figure out something else that at least most of you guys want.

The two other ideas I've seen suggested is a panel system, which is basically just reviving what we had before. For this to work, there would have to be at least a couple of other veterans willing to put their time into running and updating the ranks, hopefully on a once a month basis or so. Ideally I'd like a panel of 5, but if it comes to it myself and 2 others could probably do the job, if said others stuck with it, which was the problem the last time it was attempted.

The other idea is Wile's fairly simple ladder system. I think about everyone knows how it's meant to work, so yeah, dice it up you guys.
