Do you mean the PS2 or PSP version? (this is the PSP forum) BF2 hasn't been released for the PSP yet, and i'm not sure that it will. They've delayed it so many times now.
It's been out for the PS2 for quite a while now, but I hear the online servers are still up. Battlefield is really meant to be played online. It has a single player campaign, but it's not very realistic, and is more or less sloppily thrown together missions. It's playable, and it's tough, but the lack of a story pretty much puts its strengths into the online play. If you're not into the online play, then i'd recommend entirely different first person war games for the PS2, such as Killzone, Black, Socom 1, 2, 3, and Combined Assault which was the last one they made on the PS2, and Timesplitters 2 or 3. (the first is a smaller game, and is a lot harder than the other 2)
I've never played the 24 game, but considering every tv show that has a game created for it, like Alias, never turn out to be very good. From what i've discovered, the story in the game of 24 is pretty good, it's just the gameplay that's not all that sharp, nor complex. In short, you can do a lot of things in the game, just can't do any of them at the levels other, more masterful games have done it. IE: this isn't going to be the best third person shooter you've ever played. In any case, both games can be found a lot cheaper than they used to be if you find them on ebay. Maybe even used game shops won't try to rip you off for nearly full price. 20 dollars is all these games should be selling at right now.
