i keep have the problem where i go online and it wont download the regulation file. or even at the start of the game. I tried deleting my game data and it still doesnt work. Is it because i live in Austrlia or isnt sega doin their job. Any sugestions?

Think the copy I had through gamefly might have been EU, or something. The copy I received through Ebay was flawless. No problems with online. Same thing happened with Mercenaries 2. Their copy rarely ever worked online. Copy I nabbed off ebay - no problems.

Agetec was never a part of Sega as far as I know.

Sega picked up AC4 because Agetec couldn't foot the bill. When it wasn't as popular as they'd liked, they refused to pick up the next in the series.

Ubisoft picked up For Answer.

As far as I know AC4's online functions still work and should as long as Sega decides to keep it running. But, who knows with them.

Okay, dunno what the fudge happened.

I rented the game from gamefly, and the downloads didn't work. I purchased the game, so I returned the gamefly game, and then when the game booted up (purchased game), it downloaded regs up to 1.40 just fine. :\

ALIENS... has to be...

Wow, Sega dropped it? Who's covering it now?

Is Agetec still part of Sega?

Does that also mean online play no longer works?
Anybody know if these problems also exist with 'IV Answer'?

Nah, they're not really patches per say. They just alter gameplay features and balances. Some of them are like "cheats" in that they give you infinite energy or super missiles or something.

Sega dropped AC, so I'm wondering if all the trouble people are having is because they're dropped support too...

What the hell is the regulation file?

Mine is failing to download, and it's not my connection, considering I downloaded 20+ gigs of demos in two days. I'm running on regs 1.0, is this some kind of game patch, disguised with the name 'regulations' instead of 'update patch'? That's what it sounds like to me.

I'm having the same prob too ): I'm England-bound

So far I feel it's just not available for europe yet. Which sucks. Do you guys know if it's possible to do it locally (same country)?
